ヘルステックニュース事業譲渡のご報告と御礼

この度私、吉澤美弥子は、HealthTech News（ヘルステックニュース）を株式会社エムステージに事業譲渡したことをご報告いたします。この場を借りて、HealthTech Newsの読者の皆様、そして事業についてご相談に乗っていただいていた皆様にお礼を申し上げるとともに、今後も応援をよろしくお願いしたいと思っております。

今回実際に医療領域で事業を展開していらっしゃる、エムステージに売却できたことで、HealthTech Newsに新たな可能性が期待できると実感しています。新たな体制での更新再開にご期待いただきたいと思います。

HealthTech Newsは、もともとは私が個人のブログとして、ヘルステック領域のニュースを発信していたものでした。医学部の松村一希や理工学部の中込翔という素晴らしい仲間に恵まれ、ちょうど3年前の2013年10月28日にニュースサイトとして、HealthTech Newsを立ち上げることができました。私たちは新しいテクノロジーがもたらす、医療や健康領域への貢献に期待を寄せ、自分たちが考えていることを伝えていきたいという気持ちでこのサイトをはじめたのです。

はじめた当時は、ヘルステック・デジタルヘルスといった単語は今ほど浸透しておらず、ご理解いただけないことも少なくありませんでした。そんな中、実際にこの領域で事業を展開されている起業家の方々にお会いする機会も増え、よりその可能性に期待したいと思うようになりったのです。現在では多くの企業や投資家、そして学生さんたちがヘルステックの領域に興味あるとおっしゃってくれるようになり、とても嬉しく思っています。

私事ですが、私自身はようやく大学を卒業します（できるとおもいます）。現在ベンチャーキャピタルの500 Startups Japanで働いていて、起業家の方にお会いしているとやはりもう一度自分でやりたいという気持ちも日々強まっています。しばらくは大学の授業や国家試験の勉強もしつつ（ほとんどしていない）、次にやりたいことの幾つかを検証したりもしています。卒業までにまた是非いろんな方とお話していきたいとおもっているので、よろしければお声掛けください。

We’ve been acquired!

I’m pleased to publicly announce that M.Stage is acquiring Health Tech News.

By combining M Stage’s relationships with providers and Health Tech News’s insights, we believe we can have a larger impact on improving network and publicity.

Health Tech News was born out of my personal blog aggregating emerging healthcare technology. Being extremely fortunate to get help and support from Kazuki Matsumura and Sho Nakagome, we launched Health Tech News back in 2013, October 28th. Our mission is to identify and contextualize the emerging trends in digital health helping its readers shape what’s next in healthcare.

In Japan, no one showed interest with words such as healthcare, digital health, and medtech as we started out. The more we’ve uncovered what’s happening in health care technology, the more we’re convinced that the expectation is high in health care. Seeing more numbers of healthcare startup founders has driven us to this far. Looking back on our journey, we are proud of how much our team has accomplished in the last years. We’ve had the opportunity to connect with an amazing set of audience; students, investors, corporate executives.

I will graduate Keio University in nursing major. (Hopefully. 💩 ) As working in a venture capital, the desire to start out again as a founder keeps motivating me more and more as day goes by. I will keep looking for an opportunity while surviving in a senior year and upcoming national nursing certificate exam. I can’t wait to start working with everyone to bring this future to the world, and to unlock new worlds for all of us. Thank you so much for all of your support!
