itunes-remoeはドイツのMichaelさんが公開したコマンドラインツールで、ターミナルからiTunesに登録されている曲の検索、再生、停止などが行えます。

$ itunes-remote iTunes: help

　Commands:

　help [command]　　　　 Provides help for a given command.
　exit [options]　　　　 Exit itunes-remote.
　play　　　　　　 Start playing the current selection
　stop　　　　　　 Stop playing the current selection
　pause　　　　　　 Pause playing the current selection
　next　　　　　　 Advance to the next track in the current playlist.
　previous　　　　　 Return to the previous track in the current playlist.
　back　　　　　　 Reposition to beginning of current track or go to previous track if already at start of current track.
　search [options] Fuzzy search album, artists and songs.

Command Groups:

　play *　　　　　　 2 sub-commands.

　システム要件はNode.js v0.12.7, OS X 10.10 Yosemite以上および曲が登録されているiTunesが必要で、ソースコードはMITライセンスで公開されているので、興味のある方はMichaelさんのGitHubへどうぞ。
