The alleged romps are said to have happened in two different counties in the southern United States.

A probe started early this year but she was not charged until now “because investigations take a while, said Detective Steve Sparkman.

“There are so many dots you have to connect before you can bring charges against a person.”

Jarvis’ husband Andrew was reportedly with her in court Monday when she pleaded not guilty to two rape charges.

Jarvis, who married in December 2013, also faces rape and sodomy charges while teaching social studies at Woodford County Middle School, Versailles, Kentucky.

She resigned last June before moving to Fayette County as a teaching assistant at Veterans Park Elementary School, Lexington.

It has now emerged that the troubled teacher quit on Friday – the same day she was arrested.

The student’s age and school district have not been disclosed to protect his identity.

Fayette County Schools spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall confirmed Jarvis has left her position.

“While we cannot comment on individual personnel issues, we can assure families and community members that we are aware of the matter.

“Our personnel protocols in a case like this would call for placing an employee on administrative leave pending resolution.”
