香港デモのネット情報を削除 中国本土では見ることが出来ない現地の写真とは【画像集】
香港では、民主化を訴える大規模デモで混乱が続いている(日本語版記事)が、そんな中、何千人ものデモ参加者が、ソーシャルメディアを使って、デモの様子をとらえた写真や動画をシェアしている。
彼らの多くは、9月中旬から、香港の次期行政長官選挙における民主化を訴えている学生たちだ(大学生が授業ボイコットを行っているほか、中高生も参加している)。しかし北京の中央政府は、中国本土のソーシャルメディアユーザーがそういった画像を目にしないよう、対応に必死のようだ。
人気の写真共有サービス「インスタグラム」ユーザーが9月29日に発表したところによると、中国本土では同サービスがダウンしている。
「ニューヨーク・タイムズ」紙の報道によれば、中国の全メディアを監視する中央宣伝部は、9月26日に発生した「混乱」に関する記述をすべて削除するよう、各種ウェブサイトに対して命じたという。
さらに、中国版ツイッター「新浪微博(シナウェイボー)」では、今回のデモを先導している団体のひとつである「中環占拠/佔領中環」という言葉の使用が禁止された。
「中環占拠(オキュパイ・セントラル)」とは、「香港の中枢である金融街・中環(セントラル)を占拠せよ」という意味。アメリカで「ウォール街を占拠せよ」(オキュパイ・ウォールストリート)運動が始まった2011年に、その影響を受けて香港で組織された団体。
デモの様子を記録したインスタグラムの画像は、中国本土では見ることができないが、香港ではまだ閲覧可能だ。北京の当局が「一般市民に見られては困る」と考える画像を以下にご紹介しよう。
