WARNING – GRAPHIC: October 2023 Viral Chinese TikTok Video Justifies The Holocaust: When You Truly Understand What Jews Have Done, You Will Realize They Really Don't Deserve Sympathy

A video titled "How did the Jews build a nation? What did they really do? Why are they hated to this day?" was posted to the Chinese TikTok (Douyin) account Qingyan Documenting History on October 20, 2023. The account, which has over 1.75 million followers, has attracted over 523,000 likes and 263,000 shares on this video alone.

The video features voiceover commentary over graphic footage from cinematic Holocaust depictions and selected documentary imagery. It seeks to justify the Holocaust, stating: "It is widely known that during World War II, Jews were subjected to large-scale massacres by Germany, with over six million Jews killed. But only when you truly understand what Jews had done will you realize they really don't deserve sympathy. […] It was not Hitler's hatred toward Jewish people that led to the Holocaust - it would be more accurate to say that the entire German population held such views."

The narrator repeats classic antisemitic conspiracy theories: alleging Jewish betrayal of nations, wartime profiteering, economic manipulation, and inherent moral corruption. It claims Jews "don't deserve sympathy," calls usury a "Jewish tradition," blames Jews for post–World War I hyperinflation in Germany, and presents antisemitism and the "bloodshed against Jewish people" as a rational societal response.

The video concludes by accusing Jews of arrogance and greed following the establishment of Israel, framing global antisemitism as justified and inevitable.

Narrator: "Why are Jews hated all over the world? What exactly did they do? It is widely known that during World War II, Jews were subjected to large-scale massacres by Germany, with over six million Jews killed. But only when you truly understand what Jews had done will you realize they really don't deserve sympathy.

"Historically, Jews have been a people without a fixed home for a long time. Whenever a powerful nation rose, they would rush over to curry favor. Once it looked like that country was declining, they would quickly switch allegiances and try to escape. This gave rise to what some consider a deeply rooted character flaw in the Jewish people – a strong tendency to betray.

"Thus, even before World War I, many European countries were reluctant to accept Jews. At the time, however, Germany treated Jews quite well, and the Jews took advantage of the Germans' kindness, beginning to act unscrupulously. It is commonly acknowledged that Jews are skilled in business. Without restrictions, they quickly opened many elite schools in Germany and established numerous factories, hospitals, banks, and so on, monopolizing half of Germany's economy for a time.

"In the later stages of World War I, while Germany's military faced the dilemma of fighting on two fronts, the wealthy Jews not only failed to help but added insult to injury. They seized the opportunity to stockpile large quantities of food, medicine, and military supplies, then used war to drive up prices, making huge profits from national disaster. Even after desperate pleas from the German High Command, they insisted on printing money, causing the devaluation of the mark and plunging the German economy into chaos.

"Under their manipulation, a loaf of bread cost 500,000 marks. To maintain price levels, they even threw away nearly expired milk and bread instead of lowering prices. This caused the poor German people to hate the Jews intensely. But to survive, they had no choice but to borrow money from them – and lending at high interest has always been a Jewish tradition. So, the Jews got richer and richer.

"As a result, hatred towards Jews peaked, and antisemitism in Germany surged. At this moment, Hitler emerged, and the bloodshed against Jewish people officially began. However, rather than saying it was Hitler's hatred toward Jewish people that led to the Holocaust, it would be more accurate to say that the entire German population held such views against Jewish people.

"How exactly did Jewish people manage to draw hatred all over the world? When persecuted, they garner worldwide sympathy. After successfully establishing their own state, they became domineering and arrogant, with their inherent arrogance and greed being just the beginning of the tragedy."
