Well I'm in a constant back and forth for lower prices (or better specs) with both Leaseweb and NForce. Some of the deals I've been offered at Leaseweb have been quite tempting but they all mostly revolve around bulk purchase.

You could buy anything upwards of 20 servers at a time at a decent price, and they will put you on a single rack. Cheapest deal was with 40 servers, you get your own rack, and depending on how much you want to pay, you can add anything from 1x10Gbit to 4x10Gbit uplinks to it.

Also individual server ports have a sort of a virtual dial which can control the Network QoS, so again depending on how big the wad of cash you're holding is, it can be turned up or down.

Traffic pooling is another option, where you can buy 1PB of traffic for say 100 servers. This works best if you have your own rack with 40 servers, because you'll have private peering throughout the rack and Leaseweb finds it much easier to count and then completely discount Internal traffic within the rack.

Those are a few options I was offered over the last few months while I've been bashing them with competitor prices. Will your performance be worse with a bulk reseller, most likely not because not everybody is a heavy user on a particular rack. Will it be a gamble, yes. Which is why I posted once before, you won't know till you try. If you're happy, retain your server. If you're getting spanked on the peerlists, then you know why.

Also Premium at Leaseweb is alot different from Premium at say NForce. Nforce is more about rerouting and perks and this and that, at Leaseweb its about redundancy. They got this weird witchcraft going on behind the scenes which is constantly working on keeping your traffic in uncongested lanes if you have Premium. Leaseweb hates rerouting because they can't reroute a single server port, but only a whole rack. So if you peer over Cogent to Comcast East Coast, and you wanted it to go over Telia, it wouldnt be possible unless you owned all the servers on that rack.

Also if your MRC (Monthly Recurring Charge) is higher than $20k, then you get your own private engineer from Leaseweb working with you 24/7. Which is why I notice that the trend among alot of Leaseweb Resellers is to sell as many servers as possible (even if at a loss) to just meet that 20k MRC. Not my goal, I can fix most issues through KVM.
