Mitchell Struyve
Mr MARK TAYLOR (Seven Hills) (16:43:00): I acknowledge Mitchell Struyve for and congratulate him on his 38 years of dedicated service to the New South Wales Department of Education. At the end of last year Mitchell retired from serving the local area of Seven Hills, which he had done since 2009 as principal of The Hills Sports High School. Mitchell attended the sports high school as a student, when it was known as Grantham High School. Mitchell began his career as a teacher at Seven Hills High in 1984, before becoming head teacher at Bonnyrigg High School in 1991. He then served as head teacher at Quakers Hill High School from 1993. He kept that post while establishing Wyndham College at Nirimba Fields in 1999 and then was selected in the same year to be the deputy principal back at Quakers Hill High. He has given many years of service in education to local students and demonstrated a passion for high-quality public education and supporting community-minded learning environments for all Blacktown students and those right across western Sydney.
