99 Nights in the Forest Wiki

The Kiwi is a Passive entity in 99 Nights In The Forest. It was added in the Taming Update.

Taming[]

The Kiwi can be tamed using 1 Berry and requires 1 mood level to be satisfied. It can be tamed using all current Flutes as of the Taming Update.

Location[]

The Kiwi can be located in the Campfire level 6 area, at the edge of the map near a tree trunk with a hole in it, which is where the Kiwi spawns from. However, it can also be located in other biomes due to an occasional glitch, although the odds of this occurring are quite low.

Obtainment[]

The Kiwi, similarly to the Missing Children, does not move and can be picked up and placed idly in the Sack; however, it does not contain a label until tamed.

Use[]

The Kiwi currently has no evident uses. It does not engage in combat with other entities, nor does it provide status or conventional boosts. (This page may be edited later if any users find a use for the tamed pet—if they have tested it within more than one environment and occasion and witness the effect still apply.)

Trivia[]

  • The Kiwi is the only passive entity that you can't kill.
  • The Kiwi is immune to lava damage in the Volcanic Biome, as well as the Volcano itself.
  • The Kiwi is the second bird entity, after The Owl.
    • Additionally, it is the first normal bird, as The Owl in-game is a monster.
  • The Kiwi is the second entity to have a Spawn point, the first being the bunny.
  • The Kiwi is the 3rd passive entity to exist.
  • The Kiwi possibly doesn't drop anything upon death since you can't kill it.
  • The Kiwi is the only entity apart from the four Missing Children you can pick up and put inside a Sack.
  • The Kiwi is the first invincible passive animal, being immune to everything.
  • The Kiwi in real life originates from New Zealand, which is where the developers are located.
  • The Kiwi's possible reason for being added into the game may be solely for Taming, as it is a passive entity that cannot deal damage nor get hurt.
    • However, the developers are from New Zealand, so it's likely they added it to reference their country, which may be why the Kiwi cannot be killed.
