The time was well past midnight.

Komachi and my parents were no doubt asleep by now, but I was still awake in front of my computer, one hand on the mouse whilst the other was holding my phone to my ear. The computer screen was displaying various pictures of cute felines and texts describing them.

"How about a calico?"

[I see. It is indeed cute.]

Naturally the one responsible for keeping me up so late at night was none other than Yukinoshita.

Wait, I totally could have phrased that better.

Anyway, the reason for this late night call was nothing so important. It was simply because the two of us have progressed to the stage where we would be talking with each other at the end of the day and… well, we just talk and that's it.

Just like right now, we were discussing about what type of cat would be suited for her.

"To be honest, I don't think it matters what type of cat it is. You'd spoil them regardless."

She's so obsessed about cats that she'd spoil them rotten and love them to death. Although I like cats, it's only because they mainly take care of themselves and doesn't need to be pampered with affection every minute. Not that there's anything wrong with dogs.

[That's true… I am spoiling you rotten aren't I?]

"Excuse me, did you just imply you're treating me like a cat?"

If anything, you're the cat between the two of us! You're always focused on the silliest of things and would get offended at the slightest stuff! Not to mention you'd hold grudge forever!

[Are you saying… that I should perhaps treat you as a human being?]

"That's common courtesy isn't it?"

I could hear her giggling on the other end, her soft voice making my heart race, preventing drowsiness to overcome me.

[Hikigaya-kun, shouldn't you act as a human first before I do that?]

"No, I am acting fine. Isn't it you who is like a cat?"

[Oh? Care to explain?]

"Recently, haven't you been sneaking a lot just to surprise me? Then there's also the thing where you keep taking pictures of me! What happened to the old Yukinoshita? My image of you is completely shattered. "

[Ara, I'm just doing my prerogative as your girlfriend. Isn't it Hikigaya-kun that is too lax?]

"Come to think of it… isn't it me who's spoiling you the most?"

I message her everyday at specific times. I also send her absurd amount of cat pictures along mine at her behest. During lunch she eats my food and complains about how I cook. Then after school I walk her every day and send her home. If that's not enough, I also sacrifice my time playing games so that I could talk to her for hours.

I could hear her yawning silently, so I took a look at the clock and noticed that it was already past our normal schedule. It seems that we've been talking for some time now.

"Let's stop leave it at that."

[Really? Is it time already?]

Her voice sound reluctant.

"Yeah, it's pretty late."

[Ah, Hikigaya-kun, about tomorrow]

"What, should I pick you up?"

[No need. I'll arrive before lunch.]

"Sounds good to me. Goodnight, Yukinoshita."

[Yes, goodnight to you too.]

And with that, I ended the call and slumped on my chair. Ah, it's no good, my heart is still feeling the effects of her sudden attack. There's no way I can sleep now! I sighed and checked our call time. Two hours. Our conversation lasted for two hours. Before I got together with Yukinoshita, the longest time I spent calling someone was no longer than five minutes.

In other words, Yukinoshita has single-handedly manage to monopolize my time. What the heck, that's scary.

Seeing that I was no longer in the mood to sleep, I opened my phone and tapped the familiar icon with the saber face. I gotta reach that two million quota tonight, because tomorrow, Yukinoshita was going to drop by and visit.

Yep, better finish tonight.

The summoning circle exploded with colors of the rainbow.

The golden card unraveled, revealing a scantily clad Assyrian queen with black hair and pointed ears. The card immediately disappeared and displayed the same summoning circle ready for another roll.

Which exploded in another burst colors.

My heart felt like it was about to fly as the golden card revealed a man with white hair and tanned skin, in red priestly garb.

Ah, I did it.

They were finally home… I reunited them.

I have achieved instrumentality.

"Onii-chan wake up!"

The euphoria that enveloped me vanished as the loud voice of my sister brought me back. The view of my magnificent 10 roll faded as I opened my eyes.

So it was a dream.

That's right. Something so beautiful would never happen.

Give me back my happiness.

I rubbed the drowsiness from my eyes and glanced at my sister who had her hands on her waist.

"Komachi, why?"

Why did you bring me back to this cruel reality?

"Gomii-chan, you have some nerve to sleep around when Onee-chan is already here."

Onee-chan? Did we always have another sibling? One that I wasn't aware of? I see, so pops truly did it. That bastard. I'll throw away his stuff.

Oh wait.

"Komachi, by that did you mean Yukinoshita?"

My sister's eyes narrowed at my words.

"Who else? Unless Gomii-chan is seeing another girl behind Onee-chan's back…? I'll start throwing away your stuff now."

So she just assumed that I would cheat without any second thoughts. This punk sure is rude.

"You idiot. Since when did you start addressing Yukinoshita like that?"

I stopped my little sister who was about to enact her words.

"Just now. Seriously Onii-chan, you're still calling her like that?"

It's not like I could just change it, you know. Besides, she still calls me by my last name so it's okay. Probably.

I glanced at the screen of my phone and noticed that it was already eleven. I didn't sleep until I completed my farming points... which was around five thirty.

So I slept in.

"Where is she right now?"

"Onee-chan's cooking lunch in the kitchen."

"Why?"

"Komachi doesn't know but she's excited!"

Smiling at the prospect of good food, Komachi left my room. I went to get some decent clothes and went downstairs to wash my face. However, before I could even proceed to the bathroom, I was greeted by Yukinoshita who was wearing an apron littered with cat patterns with her hair was done in a ponytail. A wild girlfriend appeared!

"Goodmorning, Hiki-sleeper-kun. Did you enjoy staying up all night?"

She was standing less than a meter from me, inspecting me head to from her position. Yukinoshita looked fascinated for some reason.

"Sorry, but it was your fault that I was unable to sleep in the first place."

She looked clueless at my words, as if she forgot proclaiming that I was the most important person in her life. I grabbed her shoulders without any word and pulled her in an embrace.

"Nngh!?"

Yukinoshita was surprised by my sudden action and let out a cute sound but relaxed a moment later and responded by wrapping her hands around my waist. The scent of her hair assaulted my nose and reminded me that I just got out of bed and haven't even washed myself.

But maybe just a little more…

A minute passed and Yukinoshita was now resting her head on my chest, I opened my eyes and gathered the will to end our embrace… and saw Komachi peeking at us with a smug grin on her silly face. Our eyes met and her grin evolved into a toothy smile.

Ah definitely time to stop now.

I released Yukinoshita from my hug and ignored the presence of my sister. She sent a shy smile at me and held my hands.

"Hikigaya-kun, what was that about?"

"Just felt like doing it."

"I see…"

It was clear that she didn't, but Yukinoshita let it go and linked her hands behind her back.

"Go clean yourself, I'm almost done cooking."

Saying that, Yukinoshita went back to the kitchen. I couldn't help but notice the slight skip in her steps, making her ponytail bob energetically behind her head.

Komachi was already gone by that time.

I finished my trip to the bathroom and went to the dining room. Komachi was already there, helping Yukinoshita in preparing the table. Now that she wasn't wearing an apron, I could see that she was wearing a cream colored top that exposed some of her neck and shoulders. H-how daring!

My stomach growled from the lack of breakfast and the scent of meat stew that Yukinoshita prepared. There were some other dishes like vegetables and fried stuff. No wonder Komachi was so excited to have her here.

The three of us took our seats and said our thanks.

"This ish sooo good Onee-chan!"

"Komachi, mind your manners."

"I-I'm glad that you liked it Komachi-san."

It seems like even Yukinoshita was feeling weird when being addressed by Komachi like that. Not that I can blame her, hearing Komachi call me Onii-chan is one of the best feeling there is.

"Onee-chan is so smart and pretty, on top of that she's good at cooking! How did Onii-chan even manage to roll her?! Her drop rate must've been lesser than 0.3%!"

"K-Komachi-san, though I have no idea what you're talking about, your brother is a 'great roll' too!"

I choked on the meat I was eating and coughed. Yukinoshita passed me a glass of water that I drank greedily. What in the world are these two talking about?

"I know right! Onii-chan is so precious but people don't see that! That's why Komachi always worries that some hussy will trick him and he'd end up depressed and divorced!"

You what?!

"I agree. Your brother may have a lot troubling habits but he is a gem. I, for one, think that it's better for him to act this way so that he can repel shallow people only looking to take advantage of him."

Yukinoshita are you trying to kill me with embarrassment?

"It's their loss! Despite Onii-chan's behavior, he's actually caring and precious!"

"I understand. Once you get past his rough exterior, he'll surprise you with how sweet and considerate he is."

I see. So this how I will die. Embarrassed to death by these two.

"You do get it! I'm so glad my brother met you Onee-chan!"

"I too, am glad that I met him."

So engrossed in their disgusting display of camaraderie, they failed to notice that I have already finished eating and had left.

These two are idiots.

It was a few hours after that eventful lunch that Yukinoshita and I found ourselves in my room.

Komachi left shortly after lunch, saying that she was going to hang out with her friends. I wanted to follow her to make sure that she wasn't mingling with some bugs, but with Yukinoshita here, my hands were tied.

After exhausting herself playing with Kamakura, and making me take pictures of them, the two of us then went upstairs to rest in my room. While her phone was charging on my desk, we were using mine to amuse ourselves.

Namely, we're using Facebook.

Sitting on the edge of my bed, the two of us were looking at the small screen. I was holding my phone while she was tapping the screen with her dainty fingers. It wasn't like I was an avid facebook user, although I have an account, it only has a few friends and I only use it to follow game pages.

Anyway as she looked at my profile in interest, we were greeted by a post from my sister.

Komachan Hikigaya is with Hachi Hikigaya and Yukino Yukinoshita.

Komachi uploaded pictures of the dishes that they made for lunch. There was also a picture of Yukinoshita and me in the background of her selfie. There were comments about how delicious looking the food turned out from some of her friends.

Yukinoshita pressed the like button for every picture.

"Wait. You have a facebook account?"

How surprising, I never thought that Yukinoshita would bother to create a social media account.

"Indeed. I created one long ago but I don't really have much friends."

Saying so, Yukinoshita tapped on her highlighted name, and we were directed into her profile page. As expected, almost all the information was in private. But what caught my attention was her profile picture.

It was a picture of us during one of our outings. To be exact, it was a picture when we were scouting for the venue for the collab event with Kaihin. It was after our walk on the white sand beach where we share those overly expensive drinks. It displayed the two of us sitting in a sofa with our arms linked together.

That was so long ago.

She pressed the friend request button and hurriedly got up to where her phone was charging.

A notification popped out on my phone that she has accepted my friend request. A minute passed before another notification alert showed up.

Yukino Yukinoshita wants to be in a relationship with you. Press to confirm.

I tapped the notification and accepted the request and then checked my profile. Sure enough, there was a new update that was appeared in my timeline indicating our relationship.

I yawned and fell back on my bed. Maybe it was because I only slept for six hours, I was getting a little drowsy.

My bed creaked as Yukinoshita laid beside me. She rested her head on my shoulder and rested a hand on my chest. I inhaled the sweet fragrance coming from her and placed a hand on her shoulder, pulling her a little closer. When I turned to glance at her, all she did was sent me a cute smile.

I have always berated couples whenever I see them cuddling, but I can now see why they do it. Having someone close share your space was… nice. Yukinoshita was warm and soft just like a stuffed toy.

I yawned again and brought up my phone. There was a new notification.

Hachi Hikigaya and Yukino Yukinoshita are now in a relationship.

Beside me, Yukinoshita sighed as she read the contents of my screen.

"Well, this is to be expected."

I closed the application in annoyance and opened the browser. Not like I could play a game when she's right next to me.

"What do you want to do?"

"I'd like to continue our discussion last night if it's fine with you."

Ah, she's still not done with cats even after playing with Kamakura huh.

"Right."

It was hard operating a phone with only one hand, I'm sure Yukinoshita noticed this but didn't move an inch. Well, it's not like I wanna remove my hand from its current position to be honest. I typed in the address of a local pet shop and started browsing.

There were several cats on display and Yukinoshita snuggled closer in order to take a better look at them. Our cheeks were practically touching and if I look down, I would be greeted by her attractive neck.

This continued for another hour before we grew tired. It seems that Yukinoshita was also tired from staying up late last night. Maybe we need to practice some moderation during our late night calls.

I turned off my phone and placed it to my side.

Until now I have no idea whether we are doing everything right. I'm still scared of doing something wrong that would make her hate me… but maybe that's a normal thing. I had no prior experience to compare with what we have now. So I can only walk without any guide. But... we're certainly happy right now.

Maybe that means that we're doing something right.

I glanced at Yukinoshita and saw her with both eyes closed. Huh, so she was already asleep. I let out another yawn and buried my face in her hair.

The farming last night was totally worth it.
