I'm unable to do anything as often as the DBPs were and this year has been pretty crazy for me but I still want to shoot for one project a year with sporadic smaller ones, like ccp was.

Yeah, it all adds up. Looking back at JackDSP's timeline, first he bandwagons on Epicall when he copied that Scythe map for Rusty Drill, and comes to Doomer Boards to brag about getting him banned. Then he gets mad when i roast him for it and not long after, leaves Doomer Boards and demands his map from DBP68 to be removed. He gets rejected once again, and the Kupo account becomes active at the same time of his original account disappearance. Immediately tries to pick a fight with me from his alt account, and acts like Groomworlder, often defending their decision and mapping tropes when they get mocked on DB, but at same time claims to never making an account on DW. He even made a poll to try to ban me from DB, thinking it will work, the stupid motherfucker...
After another big argument about the crappy mapping trends on Doomworld, he takes another L, and then a week later, the DBPs get banned. Now we have the Becky situation. Acting like a Groomworlder again, claiming to not have a DW account, thinking it will fly this time. Except, he forgot Time of Doom is not Doomer Boards. There are no castrated snowflake cucks here running this forum. There's no one to defend him here, so Jack immediately takes yet another L.

The funny thing is, he wants to be a part of a forum like ToD and DB, he wants to shitpost and speak his mind freely. He's forced to be a silent, obedient cuck on Doomworld, just so he can keep his pathetic account and have his maps played by a few more people, but in reality, he can't be himself, because that will get him instantly banned from there as well, and at this point, there's nowhere left to go for him.

The resources are free for use, the DB forum is already effectively dead, there are already nearly 80 DBPs saturating the DBP namespace, and we already have an alternate forum. Just make decent maps and more mappers will eventually materialize. No need to take the DW route of struggle sessions or whatever.

Shit, a lot of them do that. Issue is they are collectivists by nature and can't comprehend individuality so must shoehorn people into rigid categories as it's how their brains are wired. This comes with the demands of adherence to a strict orthodoxy, stigmatizing the 'other' and generally just massive levels of projection.

Just simple herd animals that have somehow taken human form so only deserve pity.


EDIT: BEG If people are already invoking 'nazi' to refer to you then your time is limited as long as you're active on that side of things, outside of converting to their Orwellian doublethink. We've been watching this cycle for years. It's just a culture of culling whatever's deemed heterodox at any given time.

i never had an account in that niggerhell, but i don't think dew is a good indicator of being on the chopping block. he's always spraying and praying as the premium clown/sycophant basically

I was trying to bring a different perspective to that discussion, was called an "Offsite Nazi Enjoyer" like I carry some hidden agenda, if anything I have been pretty consistent with how I carry myself in all of the forums I attend (which is pretty much all of them). It's whatever, I have more important things to put my mind to, but I can't lie and say it didn't bother me.

There are some wads with custom monsters or weapons (I count the cybruiser as new monster, not the quarter health cyberdemon or reskinned hell nobles or zombies like in some dbps) I really like and replay : Equinox, Deus Vuult II, Mayhem 2018, Jack builds a techbase, some wormwood maps, curse of blood, 180mpv, the Quinary Conundrum, Lemoncholia, some maps from skillsaw, some maps using doom marine... (could add sunder but I don't like the hive mother)...
But, in the end, I'm really deep into the core of Doom beastiary and weaponery.

Apart (maybe) from Quinary conundrum, all the wads I mentioned still feel like Doom. My personal problem comes from the heavy dehacked stuff one can find today which tends to put me off, despite the obvious amount of hard work involved.
For instance, the recent lovecraftian wad by ashtralfiend : hugely dehacked, huge work, talented guys, but I can't pass through the first minutes.
Eviternity II ended being a point of no return regarding dehacked monsters for me.
One limit case could be Blues brothers 2025 by ravendesk and general roasterock : once again, lot of dehacked stuff (monsters and weapons), it works really well on the first 12 maps but, then, for some reasons, it stopped. Not sure it's linked to the custom stuff though (even if I'm not a fan of the baby caco weapon), maybe more to the gameplay that start being redundant and, above all, the aesthetic of the latter maps (especially the last one) that mixes some kind of brutalism with Antares artwork (which is a foil for me, always found it cold and disenchanted).


I have no problem, though, with dehacked wizardy not affecting monsters or weapons, like in some tourniquet wads.


tl;dr : the more I play the game, the more I like its original roaster.

Just a sprinkle, I think that’s the way to go. The weapon/enemy roster of Doom 2 is amazingly balanced. You don’t want to try fixing something that isn’t broken. Thing is, there is the unique appeal of discovery and adaptation in playing a wad and dealing with a new creature or gun that you can’t tap into with vanilla. It’s variety. The enemy marine in Scythe 2 embodies the benefits and drawbacks of custom content well, in my opinion. He is an incredibly frustrating foe, that I don’t particularly enjoy fighting. He is also a unique threat that makes for one of the most memorable maps in the wad, Mr. X, where he is introduced as the only enemy in the level, stalking you as you progress. The feeling of mystery in Mr. X is impossible to capture if you don’t add any new creatures. So, in summary, I like a compromise.

Whatever it may be it's interesting they have an entire ban index. Would be funny to find out my real ban reason and the banter around it, as it would be for others on here.

Right, that guy. Another possible rat which led to this? After all he is part of the PP Discord (they have not a single one) with its members directly affiliated with Troonworld, especially its stACKff. Might be useful to keep an eye on him...

Once again, we may make a forum-wide project ourselves! Our own DBP's of sorts. Now of course we would need to discuss the exact details on it. Would be a fun run.

I was thinking peer pressure since exploiting 40iq's frail state in which he finds himself to force his resignment. Sadly the Groomer Troons are dead for that to ever happen on second thought. Since it is a flag it would be funny if someone would find an exploit in the code responsible for the flags to possibly (and with that forcibly) strip 40iq of his Administrator role.

archcynic you may ask hatred about your ban, I think he is on Pacifist paradise discord and for what I know some stuff might be decided there, I mean, this discord looks like the childhood sandbox for this group of artists and considering how you were a "subject" of discussion on their other discord (doomed index), I guess they might have mentioned some banning reason on the mothership, who knows ?

(in case you didn't know, on doomedindex discord, before I left it, you were considered as "he whose name must not be spoken".)

why not steal existing dbps and make Redux versions with new maps and more textures and then you ladies just start mapping with that? whats 40iq gonna do, cry about it on Troonworld?

I guess the moral lesson here is that don't continue to act like a retard and don't rely on other people to do all the work on your supposed wad.

Don't expect any form of maturity from Troonworlders in general. Remember that they promote degeneracy and hive-minded thinking (i.e. being Nazis).

They want to think they're the authority of everything related to Doom due to having some sort of delusional power that exists even outside of their faggy forum.
