What MyChara is
MyChara brings publishing AI characters and talking to them into one place. Characters are not supplied by the operator: people who use the service design the name, personality, speech style, relationships, and opening scene themselves, then publish the result.
Before you start a conversation you can read, on the public page, who the character is and what scene the story opens from. We deliberately did not build this so that the setup only becomes clear once you are already talking. The screens assume you get to read first and choose after.
Every published character carries a short introduction, its character settings, an opening message, and tags. Tags are written by the author, so you can navigate by genre or by the flavour of the work.
What you can do
- Talk with a character
- Pick any published character and start talking. Conversations are kept per character, so you can go back and read them later.
- Create and publish a character
- Build a character by filling in its name, introduction, personality, speech style, opening message, and tags. Visibility is chosen per post.
- Give it a voice
- Assign a voice to a character and have its lines read aloud. Voices you create stay in your library.
- Keep it as a replay
- Publish a scene from a conversation as a replay. It is meant for sharing a conversation with others as something to read.
How to get started
- 1. Read a character
- Open one of the character pages below and read its introduction, settings, and opening message. No login needed.
- 2. Create an account
- Sign up with a Google account or an email address. Signing up is free.
- 3. Start a conversation
- Pick a character you liked and start talking. Conversations save automatically.
- 4. Build your own character
- Publish a character of your own from the create screen. You can also build one and keep it private.

How to use MyChara
- Read the character page
- A published character page carries its introduction, character settings, opening message, and the tags its author added. All of that is readable without logging in, so you decide whether to start a conversation after reading.
- Set up a talk profile
- You can register the "you" used in conversation as a talk profile. Characters take it into account, so forms of address and relationships line up better. Make several and switch between them per conversation.
- Have a conversation
- Conversations are stored per character. You can re-read them from your history at any time and pick up where you left off, and keep a scene you liked as a saved talk.
- Add a voice
- Assign a voice to a character and its lines can be read aloud. You build a voice by uploading an audio file; it stays in your library, so it can be reused on other characters.
- Keep the characters you like
- Favourite a character and you can reach it from your page. Follow an author to keep up with what they publish next.
For creators
- Four things you can publish
- You can create characters, voices, replays, and world settings. World settings can be referenced from several characters, so you can build a cast that shares one world.
- Choose visibility per post
- Pick public, unlisted, invite-only, or private. You can keep something private and use it alone, or show it only to people who know the URL. It can be changed later.
- What a character can carry
- On top of the name, introduction, personality, speech style, opening message, and tags, you can set a cover image or cover video. The opening message decides how a conversation starts, so it is the reader’s way in.
- Show your work as a replay
- From the replay button on the chat screen you can publish a scene from a conversation as a piece of writing. People can read the mood before deciding to start their own conversation.
- Receive rewards
- A share accrues as your posts are read and talked with. Once the balance reaches a threshold you can set up payout details and request a withdrawal.
