The only way for the Saudis to actually cut relations with Israel is that the US stop supporting them, which is nearly impossible.

My country is way worse than the US (Mostly because of the US and its interventions in the country since post-WWII), but still people here don't get discriminated against for the colour of skin or their belief system, there is a quota for women and minorities in Parliament, there is both public and private healthcare and education, even if you were poor, eating shoelace soup, you would still have the equal opportunity to ride an ambulance, see a doctor and live, and get a seat in any university you like and advance in society regardless of race, religion, sect, gender, class or background, you could be from some rural backwater and sit next to a guy who has XXIII next to their name. And you could elect any charlatan you like to Parliament without corporations and a certain foreign country funding propaganda in the elections (Mostly because people don't care about political campaigns and media stations don't air them because it doesn't pay as much as actual commercials).

I am not saying I live in a Utopia, still many wrong stuff like some sort of wealth inequality, corruption that drains the budget, right wing idiotic politicians trying to rebuild the medieval era, US/Foreign interference in the government and political instability. He stole 16 million USD from teachers health insurance, 200 billion IQD from school building contracts and that's just his shit with the Ministry of Education. In the Ministry of Defense, MP Khalid al-Obaidi accused him of trying to bargain with him on how much he would steal from the army and cut him a piece, about 6 billion USD were found in the basement of his property in Lebanon and in his governate of Saladin, he seized every license plate with the number 1 on it for every letter from A-to-Z and category, even agriculture category and he stole from the budget of the governate about 300 billion IQD. But he got away every time, until al-Jumaili betrayed him and handed in all the evidence, ironically he was the reason why al-Jumaili got his job as deputy minister for Oil.

And that's just the biggest name. And for sect and gender equality, let me tell you about MP Aliyah Nusayeef, I mean, she was a Baath party promoter between 1997-2003 and an official comrade of the party. She is still being investigated for election fraud in the last election (And really every election she won has an aura of corruption) by allegedly trying to buy votes, her son openly flaunts his wealth, especially when he presented his Arabian horse, whom he claimed to buy from Egypt for 1 million USD, which made people mad at the time. She also is a fierce defender of Iran and always gets herself involved in foreign affairs, especially when it comes to Gulf States. She also owns a few mansions across Baghdad and Babylon and owns two gas station between the two, the first the Lights of Babylon and the other the lights of Al-Mayyar, all that while being an MP since 2011, ironically also a member of parliament's committee for integrity, which is why her immunity was revoked since 2025, because it is the least efficient committee in the country and she changes allegiances every election cycle.

Regarding Lebanon, its government was fully controlled by France, and the president, Emile Edde, was a colonial collaborator, worked in the French consulate and was a lawyer for French colonial companies, who resigned because of the Vichy French and was restored to power after the Free French retook power which is when Lebanese independence was declared. Syria didn't gain independence until 1946 after the British forced the French to do so, and its involvement in the war was entirely dictated by French internal conflicts and betrayal of the Vichy.

As for Egypt, the 1922 independence proclamation was largely a sham, a reality nobody really disputes today aside from Egyptian absolute monarchists who think the Muhammad Ali Dynasty never did anything wrong. The 1936 Anglo-Egyptian Treaty preserved Britain’s colonial rights but shifted to a less direct form of control. While Egypt gained slightly more autonomy over its internal affairs, its military and foreign policy remained firmly under the British thumb. Britain actually allowed Egypt to remain neutral because of the 1936 treaty. If Egypt had declared war, the treaty legally obligated Britain to train and fund the Egyptian army. Because the British hadn't anticipated WWII, the Egyptian military was poorly equipped. By the time war broke out, upgrading their forces would have been an expensive and inefficient drain on British resources, so Britain chose not to uphold that side of the deal. Finally, forcing Egypt into the war would have been a disaster and caused a political crisis that Egyptian nationalists were waiting to happen to rebel. The elected Wafd government already had fragile legitimacy due to its collaboration with the British occupation, especially after 1942 coup.
