Sad seeing the Novel Horizons stuff come out because their ineptitude has fucked over tons of customers and creators, but they've been teetering on the precipice for a good while now and it's just been a consistent chain of dropping the ball. Too many opportunists.

Obviously Setsuna's had trouble with fulfillment and there are still growing pains to iron out (I feel bad for people who still don't have their stuff), but that's exactly why we're not expanding our operations until we've fixed those specific problems. Slow and steady is OK.

I got two of their early figures and the quality was decent though their faces needed work. Was hoping to see them improve since they were doing something ambitious but uh ambitious doesn't always mean profitable.

I'm honestly surprised it's taken this long. Their quality dropped like a rock and release dates got pushed so many times. Why can't we have competent business people in this industry man 😔

It really is unfortunate, seems really common when anything more complex then basic textiles and posters and stuff are contracted out for production by an Indie/Vtuber corpo, that it’s a coin flip over whether or not something like this is going to happen. I know the “solution” is to vet the factories by flying out and visiting them, or having a personal connection with the guy who owns the factory, but no one has money to do that lol.
