Yeah it is known. And also it is known the pilot who actually was steering the ship at the time of the accident (the captain was sleeping in his cabin) and her co-pilot stayed in the ship and went down with it dying with an honour.
The first one to report the accident, a student, also did not make it.
It is unimaginable to think of all those young lives lost and the pain and suffering of their family members. As a parent myself, it haunts me.
RIP 🙏🏻
Once we moved into a neighbourhood that I did not know was full of Mormon families. During our moving-in day, bunch of families showed up with food and snacks to welcome us to the neighbourhood. They never, not even once, shared their religious views or tried to recruit us. They were just being great neighbours. My colleagues told me that my neighbourhood was known as Little Salt Lake City among locals. They were lovely people. It completely changed my very much skewed view of Mormons though I would still never join their church. I just respect their beliefs and appreciate their kindness.
I had a near death experience decades ago. I had a VFib at a stadium.
Everything turned black with complete silence and no sensation whatsoever. But my awareness expanded outwards. What I initially perceived as the darkness, a void, was a stillness filled with mild euphoria- a complete balance - and the darkness was not “cold” but warm and comforting like I finally came home.
After the incident, I lost fear completely knowing what awaits me at the end isn’t pain or loneliness but being welcomed back to where I came from. It just wasn’t my time yet. Once you remove a fear of dying, a fear of living dissolves too.
Nothing to panic about. I know it’s easy for me to say. But know this- you only have now. That’s all we got. Don’t ruin it by worrying about tomorrow.
I don’t know where you are from or what your knowledge of EU immigration policies are coming from but you are very misinformed.
Denmark made it extremely difficult for long term residents to get permanent residency or be naturalised a few years ago and Sweden did too. As a matter of fact, Japan’s new policies are remarkably similar to that of Sweden’s although a little more generous. In Sweden, a married individual needs to qualify financially as an individual, not at a household level even when one is married to a Swedish.
Germany would deport permanent residents if they express their support for Palestine. It is a global trend that Europe was leading before Trump’s America or Japan.
But to answer your question directly, yes Japan’s understanding of fairness is different. Japan is a lot more generous than those European countries I mentioned above.

There was a Tokyo trial that was more rigorous than Nuremberg but the outcome was more sinister.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Military_Tribunal_for_the_Far_East
The sinister part - The U.S. decided to pardon many of the class A war criminals that were slated to be executed in exchange for working for them as assets.
One of them was popped up as a Prime Minister- PM Kishi - and LDP has been in power as an American puppet government to date.
Other pardoned war criminals included members of infamous Unit 731 and they helped U.S. develop biological weapons by sharing their human experiments.
You saw that too. My algo determined that things changed on June 8. Now I have a data point to gate conditions pre and post June 8 and have been running an updated algo that will auto switch when pre June 8 conditions return. A backtest shows that the post June 8 algo would be disastrous pre June 8.
I love eating great food. I roast my own coffee too. But most of all, I enjoy sharing great food I cooked with my friends and family. It is priceless to see their reactions when I serve them sous vide cooked Iberia pork cheek or A5 Wagyu matched with fantastic wines.
It is all about joy and love of food for me. Nothing more.

Japanese elections are shockingly backward. Like by 100 years.
You have to “write” a candidate’s name on a blank piece of a post-it sized paper with e pencil!!
Now you would think that it would take forever to count them? No, as soon as the ballots are closed, results are announced while most of the ballots are still being transported to respective locations for counting.
After the last election, there were reports of many precincts that had more votes cast than number of registered voters. News stories about them quietly and quickly disappeared.
So how they count handwritten paper ballots while they are still in a move? It’s called Japanese democracy, or a sham U.S. colonial election.
The last time LDP lost? The US decided to teach LDP a lesson.
OP - This should be the top comment for one side of the argument if not for the both. A mic drop comment.
I completely agree with this mindset as someone who lived in many countries as a foreigner, a guest.
And it isn’t about countries. Any community or company. People anywhere don’t like changes and always reject outsiders coming in and telling them they need to change.
An outsider is a guest until one becomes an insider. And it is a choice that an outsider can make - to stay as a guest hoping one is being tolerated or to commit 100% to assimilate to be accepted as an insider if the host is willing. A guest cannot expect, or have, any entitlement beyond what the host is willing to tolerate providing.
The most frequent words I heard in many countries and entities when they tried to be inclusive is “tolerance”. Basically they were saying “please don’t shoot them dead when you see them” figuratively and literally. And I observed that the more “tolerant” the host entities are, the more needy and demanding “guests” became that eventually led to resentment amongst the host entity members towards the outsiders.
OP - Think about your family. If your parents invite a stranger to stay with you for a few days in exchange for something (money, service provided etc) and the guest demands to be treated just like your family members in every way while telling you your ways are wrong, how would you react? And what would it take for you to actually want to welcome this stranger to become a real family member?
It’s been this way everywhere for tens of thousands of years and we have not changed much since we lived in caves.
更に隣に座っていたゼレンスキーをプーティンだと勘違いしていたらしい。
He actually said this during a Q&A today.
I was surprised to find out that it has a complex manual operation features if you want to use it:
-
You unscrew the crown to a neutral position like shown
-
Press what they call button A below the crown.
-
The second hand moves to tell you the last synch condition - NO, H(igh), M(edium) or L(ow). It shows NO in the pic because it could not synch in the last daily synch time.
You can press the button A for 2 seconds to synch manually and this is also how you synch using a radio wave synch app when you cannot access any tower signal.
But you can forget all that features and wear it like a simple dumb watch.
This is one example for iOS:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/radio-wave-sync/id1484233572
There are many others. If you search something like atomic clock synch or radio wave synch, you will find them.
I saw a thread in here the other day too.
Total annual carbon emissions from the data centers, military (the wars) and billionaires’s private jets and yachts combined equals to the combined annual emissions of Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, France and the U.K.
So it is really silly to even think that anything we can do short of eliminating billionaires, stopping wars and stop using internet will make any difference what so ever.
So what are you willing to do about it?
I had my 13pro battery and the camera module that developed dust slots replaced in an official Apple Store.
After about 90 days when the warranty for the work expired, the battery started to drain quickly almost like before the replacement then all of a sudden, with an OS updated, the camera module is no longer recognized as a genuine Apple part and that it does not do “portrait mode” any longer.
They scammed me.
I believe it is because of the Y chromosome-
“The Y chromosome contains the SRY gene, which is responsible for triggering male sex determination and reproductive development in a fetus.
The Father-to-Son Rule: Because only biological males typically have a Y chromosome (XY genotype), it is passed directly from a father to all of his biological sons, largely unchanged from generation to generation.
No Recombination: Unlike other chromosomes that mix and exchange genetic material during reproduction, the Y chromosome does not recombine with other chromosomes. This preserves paternal lineage perfectly over time, except for very slow, natural mutations.”
天皇family has a family tree that is supposed go back to 600 BC. And supposedly, the Y chromosome of current emperor is a carbon copy of the first emperor. Without a Y chromosome - females have X-X chromosomes - you cannot trace your bloodline.
Interestingly enough, they would never ever submit to any DNA test to prove their lineage..
No, Biden’s and Ginsburg’s narcissistic egos cost America the freedom and the world the security.
Trump was a very preventable and ugly fatal disease and it was obvious after his first term that the 2nd term would be fatal.
But no, their precious little egos needed to be stoked and they had to stay in the game when they could no longer standup. And they helped Trump win and destroy democracy. Without their help, Trump would not be in the White House today. .
I used to work in the industry and held a management position.
What kind of designer/engineer are you? System, packaging, electrical, structural, fit and finish, exterior/interior, software or pure styling? What software are you skilled at? What industries have you worked in and what kind of vehicles have you designed? All that will determine what jobs are available to you and where (OEMs, suppliers, temps etc) before even considering Japanese speaking abilities. It is a very specialised industry both in terms of vehicle types (motorcycles vs trucks vs busses vs cars etc) and skills.
If you are really good at certain design software, like CATIA, you have a better prospect.
DM me if you want.
Good luck!
What the writer said was a very American thing to say - to wrap everything up about a nation with a diverse 123 million citizens with a Twitter length concept. I almost wanted to say it was a racist thing to say but stopped short.
I hate the term “Ikigai”. That is a cringy LinkedIn punchline. And there is no concept of 国益 where there is no notion of being a sovereign country. Japanese government does what the US wants Japan to do. Then again this is one Japanese opinion out of 123 million.
Maybe she was trying to trigger accidental admissions of guilt while he was boasting his ego in blind rage like “Of course I am the mastermind of the child trafficking network! - Epstein was working for a genius - ME! - one and only Donald Trump!!!”
I think she almost got there or have him a stroke. At least she caused his diaper to overfill and forced him to run to a bathroom….
Japan could end up an ’AI colony’ if it falls behind, digital minister warns- Matsumoto raised the warning as he defended a bill to amend Japan’s personal data protection law to allow AI developers to train models with data such as medical and criminal records without the individuals’ consent.
This has nothing to do with Japanese technology development.
It is all about allowing Plantir to build a comprehensive personal database of every Japanese resident and then track and control them. A first step in letting American oligarchs take over Japan.
The irony is using the fear of being left over to allow being taken over.
The number of births among Japanese people in 2025 is expected to be around 670,000, with the total fertility rate also at 1.14—both marking new record lows since statistics began. Prime Minister Takaichi has expressed her intention to focus on measures to combat the declining birthrate.
For the level of GDP, size of the country and the level of available affordable housing, Japanese population should be ideally around that of Sweden - 10.7 million. At the current birth rate of 1.14, it will take over 300 years to get there. So I say let’s have less children.
Israel is pounding the ancient Lebanese city of Tyre – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. But some residents refuse to abandon their homes, despite forced evacuation orders as Israel continues its wave of destruction across Lebanon.
A clear evidence of Genocide and this is a declaration of war against humanity.
People were fed up with the government at that point and most people cast vote to Zelenskyy, a TV comedian who played a role of powerless Ukrainian President, as protest votes, a collective joke.
He had really low popularity until the Russian invaded Ukraine and he refused to leave Ukraine at U.S.’s urging.
If there was a conspiracy, it was the U.S. allowing Russia to invade Ukraine, twice.
A relationship built on the basis of trust is no longer the same relationship when the trust is broken, even once.
One can renegotiate and build a different relationship that is NOT based on trust but it is not possible to build one with trust.
Once deceived, one cannot be sure when one is “not” deceived. A default mode would be “I am always deceived in this relationship” like an employment.
I lived and worked in Sweden for 6 years and came back to Japan for a family reason. I need to give up my permanent residency soon too as I cannot maintain my residency requirements there. It was extremely a difficult choice and I would definitely stay there except for my family needs.
Japan is not like Scandinavia at all and can’t even come close when it comes to job protection, human rights protection, health care and retirement - all good on paper but deeply flawed and unfair in Japan.
There are many job opportunities for Japanese speaking professionals in Scandinavia and in Europe. You can use “Japanese language” as a filter and do job search in LinkedIn and will find many positions.
I would see this as an opportunity and a luck.
Trust me on this - everything will be alright.
I had a colleague whose teenage daughter got really upset for being grounded and hid his registered hand gun in his carry-on luggage when he was leaving for a business trip. The TSA found a loaded gun in his bag at the checkpoint and he was a front page news. It was in Florida. He got a felony charge and got fired from the work. All that for being grounded…
Of course it does not jibe with you if you are looking at “widely known” theories and data.
There is no misunderstanding of data. I carry Paternal Haplogroup D-CTS220 and Maternal Haplogroup M7b2. Look them up then you understand. My 1.5% is even more interesting and rare though.
I guess you are right in a way that it’s relatively rare but my family isn’t that small so it’s not like we are walking dinosaurs.
Did you even read my message at all? I had a DNA ancestry analysis done and have a detailed result.
I just mentioned the ones that go to the time of my ancestors landing in Japan. If you are actually an academic or a scholar who is interested to know detailed data, DM me.
If you want to keep opining without any basis, facts or data, this is a free country so all the power to you.
Have you even looked into how these DNA ancestry tests are done and what the test can tell you? Do you know what D-M174 means? You at least know Ainus often carry 100% Jomon DNA because they didn’t mix with Yayoi (later arrivals through Korea, now a dominant Japanese bloodline) and they look totally different? All these have been thoroughly studied (not speculated in Reddit) and new discoveries are still made, like the third blood line they call Kofun.
Technical Analysis of Text Stylometry and AI Identifiers
Based on linguistic, structural, and semantic patterns, this text displays highly characteristic markers of an AI-generated text that has been deliberately obfuscated with manual edits or specific prompt constraints (e.g., "humanize" or "add typos" instructions). The core generation engine is highly likely a model from the OpenAI GPT-4 architecture family (specifically tuned for creative/blog writing), which has subsequently been modified or forced to adopt a specific persona. Below is the technical breakdown of the flags.
1. Structural and Narrative Archetypes (AI Signatures)
-
The "Hook-to-Resolution" Framework: The text follows a rigid, formulaic essay structure favored by LLMs for engagement:
-
Contrast the "world's view" vs. "our view."
-
Introduce a synthetic persona authority ("As I, Yamato Fuji, like to remind...").
-
Deploy canonical cultural/religious references (Buddha, Dhammapada, Zazen).
-
Synthesize with a modern pseudoscientific justification ("Based on my observation in science...").
-
Conclude with an aggressive call to action ("Sit down, clear the noise...").
-
-
The Persona Paradox (Dissonant Tonal Layering): The text attempts to blend two incompatible tones: ancient Zen stoicism and modern American colloquial slang/hustle culture ("raking in cash," "daily grind," "totally crushed," "shutting up"). While humans sometimes do this ironically, LLMs do this because the prompt instructed it to write about Zen Buddhism using an "accessible, gritty, modern, or no-nonsense tone."
2. Semantic and Lexical Flags
-
Hallucinated / Misapplied Terminology:
-
Samiddhi: The text claims Samiddhi is "what the ancients called... a deep, organic kind of prosperity." In Pali/Sanskrit, Samiddhi generally means success, growth, or prosperity, but the specific phrasing ("organic kind of prosperity that happens when your daily grind...") is a classic LLM semantic expansion—inventing a highly specific, poetic definition to fit a modern narrative.
-
Syntax Error in Persona Naming: "As a Zen doesn’t sit around..." -> "Zen" is used here as a noun representing a person. A human practitioner would write "a Zen practitioner," "a Zen master," or "a Zen student." LLMs frequently misuse specialized nouns when attempting to adapt to a niche persona without deep contextual grounding.
-
-
Cliché Metaphors and Spatial Layouts:
-
The dramatic vertical spacing at the end ("What / is / the / very / next / step?") is a high-probability marker of algorithmic text formatting designed to simulate dramatic pacing or mimic specific LinkedIn/X "broetry" writing styles.
-
3. The "Humanization" Counter-Signals (Manual Edits or Prompt Contraints)
The text contains several glaring grammatical errors, typos, and awkward phrasing. In modern LLM deployment, these indicate either A) a human manually edited the AI output to make it look "imperfect," or B) the user used a "Humanizer" wrapper or a prompt that explicitly demanded typos to bypass AI detectors.
-
Duplicated Words: "...just just smile at that..." (Classic manual typo or artifact of an editing overlay).
-
Punctuation and Spacing Anomalies:
-
"...awareness, that filling..." (Unnecessary comma placement typical of translation models or machine phrasing).
-
"...As a practitioner I don't..." (Missing comma after introductory phrase).
-
"...Inst it clear..." (Typo for "Isn't it clear").
-
"...zazen, it is the practice..." (Comma splice; a native or proficient writer would use a dash, semicolon, or period).
-
4. Source Engine Identification
The structural profile, the specific transition phrases ("Because of that," "So where does this breakthrough actually start?"), and the synthetic combination of neuroscience data with spiritual philosophy point directly to OpenAI GPT-4/GPT-4o. Diagnostic Pattern: GPT models frequently bridge ancient philosophy and modern productivity by inserting a sentence structured exactly like this: "Based on [X] in science, it shows that [Y] physically strengthens the part of your brain responsible for [Z]." This exact neurological pivot is a well-documented baseline bias in OpenAI's reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) dataset when tasked with writing motivational or self-help content.
Well, my dad is still walking around and so as his siblings. They are 100% Jomon.
I am 98.9 % Jomon and 1.1% European because my mom’s great grandmother married an Irish American.
My paternal line (my dad’ side) stems from a branch of haplogroup D-M174 called D-M55. Arrived in Japan around 20,000 years ago during the ice age. D-M55 is most common among the Ainu where it reaches levels of 80%. Yeah he looks kinda Ainu a little bit.
My maternal (mom’s side) haplogroup is M7. Among Japan’s first inhabitants, who arrived here over 30,000 years ago. This group reached Japan through India and Ryukyu Islands when there were frozen land bridges. My mom’s father is 100% Jomon.
Yes, I did a DNA ancestral analysis and that is why I know this. Looking at my family tree, there are many 100% Jomons walking among us in Japan today. Like millions statistically.
As a side note. I also have more Neanderthal genes than most people and this must be from the Jomon ancestry.
All this means nothing today though. We all came from the same place originally and just took different paths to get here. It’s a moot point to discuss what makes Japanese genetically as most Japanese today are not original inhabitants of the islands. It would be really stupid and ridiculous for me to claim that I am more Japanese than others based on my ancestry too.
We are all passengers in this sinking ship called Japan. We may as well get along while it is afloat because we will all go down together at the end…
Yeah, Japan does not handcuff and arrest legal permanent residents for no reason but for the color of their skins, separate them from their kids and send them to a prison camp in Sudan without even allowing an access to a lawyer. And they never rape detained legal immigrants in a makeshift prisons. Japan has a lot to catch up before it comes even close to the American level of tolerance.
In another sub, there are people claiming it is a “right” like “a driver’s license is a right” - of course wrong on both accounts but they are out there. https://www.reddit.com/r/japannews/s/HDwFaBBgYm
Japanese abroad are met with the same or the worse racism.
He probably would not know this and would not care.
There are so many more like him in other countries and Japan is not unique in harboring such people, though the U.S. is probably number one in systematic anti immigration behaviors.
You are absolutely right - Bringing Japanese abroad home has nothing to do with this guy.
“The population crisis” is one of the biggest lies told in Japan.
I believe we need to accelerate the population decline for Japan to be a happy wealthy nation. There is no need to accept immigrants just to maintain population. Japan should welcome any immigrants who want to be in Japan but under very strict rules like in Sweden.
Here’s why -
Japan is about the size of Sweden and has 12 times more people living in Japan.
Sweden 26 people per km² Japan 338 people per km²
World happiness ranking Sweden - 5th Japan - 61st
GDP per capita ranking Sweden - 14 the highest Japan - 36th highest
Swedish don’t need jobs to survive because of strong social programs. Japanese must work to survive even at old age but people struggle to get jobs.
Japan does not need more propel, more jobs and more foreigners to thrive.
Japan needs drastically less people and redistributed wealth.
The racism and other social tensions are caused by overpopulation and nation’s pursuit of illusionary “growth” at the expense of individual happiness.
Many posters here seem to believe it is an entitlement, not a conditional privilege though. I am sure this misconception is not limited to Redittors here.
Nevertheless, she is just an inept pseudo intellectual, a populist puppet of Takaichi, that paying attention to anything she says is a waste of energy.
Not a single country in the world treats a permanent resident permit as a right.
It is a privilege, a conditional “permit” granted to a person that they can take away as they wish. It is not an entitlement.
I don’t understand why Japan is expected to be different in accommodating non-citizens from the rest of the world.
Every non citizen is a guest in a host country anywhere in the world.
So you are drinking your last bottle of Coors and your party guests that you forgot were coming shows up. So you pour the half bottle of Coors to 10 glasses and add water to top them up. Now you got 10 glasses of “beer”.
You are basically diluting your beer (USD) by adding non-beer fluid (newly printed money) and now the beer tastes like shit and warm too.
Reputable companies use 敬語internally and it has nothing to do with hierarchy. It’s 礼儀。 A director would be using 敬語talking to his subordinates or even to a college intern in those well managed companies. The formality drives clarity. You can get away with being 無礼 as a non Japanese but if they respect you enough, they would try to help you like this colleague of yours is doing.
I agree with you. BUT the institutional racism is very much a Trump agenda along with anti-woke and anti-immigration politics. They are forced upon “allies”. Many sovereign country would not follow Trump blindly but LDP has been a US puppet party and has been in power most of the time. Takaichi is a Trump worshipper. Most Japanese blindly live anything Americans. So they don’t think twice about accepting Trump policy.
I have learnt that the “color blindness” can be temporary but the bigotry runs really deep.
I had a friend who was dating an African American guy in college in Colorado. She said that her family members were very friendly to him and very welcoming to family events but if she ever married him, they would literally lynch him. I was shocked as she was NOT from a poor uneducated family.
Some Japanese are genuinely open but I have met some really narrow minded and spiteful people not unlike American racists. But these spiteful people tend to discriminate against anything different they can look down to like middle aged “stinky” men - kusaoyaji. So it’s them, not you.
In the U.S., this spitefulness has become institutional. Japan is at a great risk of following suit. Japan needs to dump Trump and Takaichi.
Has the U.S. ever had any period that you consider not being evil? Like you mentioned, starting with genocide of Native Americans, slavery, exploitation of global south, countless wars waged, dropping atomic bombs to civilian population and finally to King Trump era.
It has produced amazing artists and thinkers but probably killed more potential artists and thinkers around the globe than it produced. Yes, many good people but it lacks collective courage to change the course just like the silent majority in Nazi Germany and polite genocidal racist majority in Israel.
Takahashi is Trump’s puppet.
She is just mimicking the MAGA anti immigration (really anti-brown people) policy. She will deploy Plantir system to track every foreigner in Japan soon.
A part of the MAGA strategy is to push propaganda and manipulate ballots so what you are seeing is a manufactured phenomenon. Making you upset is a part of the plan to create social unrest and devision.
Only way to fight this is to be totally opposite of who/what they are and drive compassion, understanding, equality (of everyone), dialogues and tolerance.
The main issue is that though it is not illegal, Japanese don’t usually bury dead body. They cremate. Muslims want burial and don’t want cremation but most places don’t do it. So the only solution for Muslim in Japan to bury dead per their custom is to own their own mosque and cemetery. And that is what most people don’t want. A cemetery with rotting dead bodies near their homes.
It’s a cultural sensitivity challenge. Not a racism. But some on both sides want to make it about race. In general, it is wrong for guests in a country to impose their own customs to their hosts as an entitlement. After all, they are guests. A tolerant host should be willing to negotiate but it is becoming an emotional issue.
Zazen in its essence is not an organized religion. Anyone can claim to be zen practitioner but once you are a part of an organization, you are no longer practicing zazen as you sit with goals and objectives. But I am not objecting or disagreeing. They are free to do whatever and I have nothing to do with it and won’t affect me.
One can argue that it is politically radical because it does not engage in anything politics. Politics requires engagement of general population through propagandas, manipulations, fears and greed - pressure points of ego.
Zen practice removes ego and therefore zen practitioners can be immune to politics. The burning Thai monk represents the most radical stance against politics. Just sit, even when you are burning.
To politically inclined, the radical disengagement of zazen is just radical.
ChatGPT tried to decode it.
“
First word on first row, 2nd word on the 2nd row, 3rd word on the 3rd row and 4th word on the 4th row: “They found old treat”
The surface note says:
“They investigated me for
month — FOUND NOTHING!!!”
….
Read as cover text, it’s rambling. Read as a warning, the payload could be:
They found the old treat/retreat.
Choose the time to say goodbye.
Bust.
No fun. Not worth it.
And in operational English:
They found or are close to the old stash/site. Destroy the evidence/trophies. A bust/search is coming. Do not try to keep it or protect it.
That makes “say goodbye” do real work. It would not mean “I’m saying farewell to life.”
It would mean: Say goodbye to the objects. Get rid of them.
And “treat” could carry several ugly double meanings:
bait, lure, reward, “trophy,” compromising material
retreat - island/ranch/private hideout
threat - leverage, blackmail, danger
found nothing - they missed the real stash
choose one’s time - act during the window available
goodbye - destroy/remove/abandon
bust - raid/search/arrest
no fun / not worth it - do not keep trophies; do not risk exposure
“They found the old stash/trophies connected to the honey trap. Destroy them.”
That is a darker, but more functional, message. It explains why the note would be oddly theatrical: the ridiculous phrasing gives censors a harmless reading, while the intended reader focuses on the trigger words: FOUND NOTHING / treat / choose time / goodbye / Bust / NO FUN / NOT WORTH IT.
The weak point is still proof. The line does not plainly say “destroy evidence.” But if this was meant as a monitored-jail dead-drop, it would probably never say that plainly. It would use euphemisms exactly like “say goodbye,” “no fun,” “not worth it.”
So I’d refine the candidate hidden message to:
They found the old treat/retreat. Use the time window. Say goodbye to the trophies. A bust is coming. Keeping them is not worth it.
That is a coherent warning hypothesis. Not proven, but internally it fits better than a sentimental suicide reading.”
Japan basically is a an American colony. It is hardly an independent country. LPD is a US puppet it has been since the end of WWII. Yeah I agree that the U.S. has been the biggest pariah in the moden history after it built a country on stolen lands and has a right to exist as much as Israel does? Is that what you are saying? I agree. Germany does not have democracy or free speech. They seem to exist only to protect and pay Israel to atone for their sins.
I once went through a V fib. Happened in a crowded stadium so someone could save me. I experienced exactly the same peace and awareness she talks about. Pure awareness and no external sensations but expanding awareness nevertheless. No emotions - no fear or joy but peaceful, calm. I have lost any fear since then. I know that death is nothing to be fearful of, and that removed all the fears of living too.
I adopted bonded brothers together though I was planning to get only one of them. It was the best decision I made. If it is still possible, I highly suggest adopting one of her siblings, ideally her bonded sibling, and let them create their own routine with each other and with you. In this way, when you are away at work or sleeping, she won’t feel alone. I found it cruel to kidnap a cat alone from a family then isolate her in a human world. Imagine being kidnapped by space aliens alone and having to live in their plant alone. You may want to have a human company…
I agree everything you said except that Israel has given up a right to through having committed a genocide. They cannot be simply undone by removing the illegally occupied settlements and severely prosecuting those living there.
Israel has been committing, is committing this very moment, a Genocide that is very much like the one committed by Nazi regime during the WWII.
Just like how Jewish people were given a land to safely live and prosper after the WWII, Palestinians and Lebanese should be “given back” their lands to live peacefully and that is how Israel will earn the right to exist.
She is very much like what we think people of Israel are like.
Go where she was not invited but generously tolerated believing it’s her right to be there, see things she does not like - a group of humans showing compassion for other group of humans who are suffering - and she tries to convert the host’s religion; to be evil.
Yeah, now I see one in my country and feel relieved knowing I don’t feel guilty that I no longer have to support or justify existence of Israel as I had before while having a doubt deep down.
So thanks.
I agree with your position. It is delusional for any Japanese to believe increasing spending in U.S. weapons that don’t get delivered will make Japan safer or that Japan will be safer by provoking neighbors. And those who support military build up will NEVER volunteer to fight in Japan to defend Japan thinking missiles and anti missile systems are all we need.
Japan will have zero chance going to war against China or Russia. Like Ishibashi said, Japan must first become food and energy independent before thinking about spending any money on defense.
Most Japanese don’t understand that constitution 日本国憲法is there to protect citizens from politicians and government. Supporting government to take away citizens’ basic rights is so idiotic.
That is a very famous history anyone educated well enough knows about. Many of them “volunteered” to join suicide missions in Europe and later in the Pacific theatre. And the U.S. dropped atomic bombs in Japan because they did not consider Japanese as humans. So yeah, the U.S. is not friend of Japanese or Japan. Japan basically is a U.S. colony today.
But how many people knew about Japanese interment camps for foreigners? Did you know about it?
The U.S. opposition is spineless as Japanese opposition parties. Democrats are totally compromised by AIPAC and oligarchs. The U.S. has less freedom of speech and press. The U.S. has less human rights. You can be arrested and sent to Sudan for no reason but for the color of your skin or your political views. And is this headed by the most corrupt serial pedophile rapist and he is becoming more powerful everyday, getting richer everyday. I am afraid Japan is becoming more and more like the U.S. though.
First, Japan has been a racist island nation for as long as it has existed. During the WWII, there were detention camp for Japanese with foreign backgrounds (mixed race, naturalized citizens etc) and some were forcibly sent to the frontline as Kamikaze pilots. Institutional indifference and cruelty to foreigners have been as Japanese as Ramen.
But today, you don’t have a risk of being “detained” without a warrant for looking like a foreigner then sent to Sudan without any trial or legal protection, YET. And you won’t be forcibly sent to battlegrounds as cannon fodders just because you are not real Japanese, YET.
AND this will change if the current government stays in power, bring in Plantir and start tracking everyone. Japanese government is embracing the U.S. level of extreme bigotry, restrictions of freedoms of speech, absolute control over media and public opinions, and now the government sponsored violence and murder as revenues while rewarding only wealthy and corrupt politicians. Japan was not great but there is a great danger of becoming worse, like the U.S. or Israel.
Don’t apologize for Japan or whine and do nothing. Things are getting worse and will get far worse. Now probably is the last chance we can to do something about it. A military service may become a requirement for obtaining a PR and naturalized citizens may be the first one to be drafted when a war breaks out. The history likes to repeat itself.
I have two ragdolls and a British short hair. A robot vacuum cleaner with an automated bag emptying system has been a life saver. I run it twice a day.
Also I brush these boys at least once a day sometimes three times a day. The hair you collect while brushing them is hair you don’t have to clean off from your clothing.
I knew someone who was doing research and development related to a battle ground pheromone vapor distribution system. It makes you raged and get impulse to destroy everything in front of you. No prohibition for killing anyone. When the pheromone wears out, you don’t know why you did what you did. And you get PTS often leading to suicide. She was doing a research to remove the trauma (emotional stress) of the pheromone induced actions.
Scary.
One never knows what others have suffered and/or are suffering from.
She is probably dealing with her own demons and she was probably inspired in her own ways in Hiroshima’s rebirth.
You should leave her alone. You don’t have to like it but you have no right to tell her how she should express her feelings.
I used to live in Hiroshima and I am not bothered by this.
You are right - The young voters that Harris was trying to energise tended to support Gaza and were upset about her stance. She said she would not change anything Biden was doing and that came across as she would keep supporting Israel no matter what. Dems rather keep “supporting” Trump than to stop the genocide.
If I were to use more “awakened” language, what I am saying is that all the sufferings that you experience exist only in your mind. You created them and you keep them locked up in there.
Your fears, your pains, your sorrows, your stresses, all of them exist only in you mind and nobody else own them or can experience them. This also means you have a power over them. We give our sufferings too much power. We stop that and we will be free.
