A lot of the Jews who. lived there were Arabs before Israel invented the "Mizrahim" so they could racialize Arab and Persian gentiles, and pretend Jews from very different cultures and histories were all the same group.

... so are you saying that the Mizrahim aren't Jews? "Different cultures and histories" doesn't matter very much a huge amount when they all share a common origin point.

One, there's a little tiny bit of a difference between 2000 years and 60000 years. Two, maybe we should try giving it a shot one of these days.

2,000 years is long enough that it might as well be 60,000. My grandparents were Jews from Eastern Europe, and knowing their history makes me side with Palestinians, because I understand what it means to be a ghettoized minority surrounded by more powerful groups that like to stomp on you. That matters a lot more to me than the fact that some of my ancestors lived in Palestine 2,000 years ago. And if the latter mattered more to me, why should I prefer a Jewish Israeli to a Palestinian whose ancestors came from the same place?

Also, there havr always been big differences and conflicts between different groups of Jews, just like there is conflict between different groups of Muslims or Christians. And the assumption that a Jew anywhere is part of a Jewish "nation" before they're their own country is honestly insanely antisemitic. The very idea that Jews everywhere count as a single polity was confined to antisemitic fever dreams before zionists tried to make it true. It's called the dual loyalty libel, and apparently it's actually good now because Israel says it is.

Two, maybe we should try giving it a shot one of these days.

So you don't feel any sense of tribal loyalty or obligation whatsoever? Even though you probably have distant relatives over there, the same way I do? (Not that tribal loyalty means you have to agree with or support the Israeli government in any way, shape, or form. Far from it.)

Anyway, just FYI, you can fight Zionism (whatever that happens to mean to you right now) without trying to undermine the concept of the Jewish people as a whole. Going that far just seems dumb and edgelordy.
