The prophecy in order
While playing chapter 3 I written typed down the prophesy. I reodered it to what I think would be the correct order of events.

  • The prophecy, which whispers among the shadows.
  • The legend of this world. <Deltarune.>
  • A world basked in purest light. Beneath it, grew eternal night.
  • If fountains freed, the roaring cries. And titans shape from darkened eyes.
  • The light and dark, both burning dire. A countdown to the earth’s expire.
  • Bot lo, on hopes and dreams they send. Three heroes at the world’s end. (These make sense as an intro)
  • The first hero. The cage, with human soul and parts!
  • The’ll see the tail of hell take crawl. (
  • The second hero. The girl, with hope crossed on her heart.
  • The third hero. The prince, alone in deepest dark. (I felt it made sense to introduce the heroes on order near the beginning.)
  • And last, was the girl. At last, was the girl.
    Love finds its way to the girl. (I'm one of the people who thinks this is a different person to the second hero.)
  • The pointy-headed will say “toothpaste,” and then “boy”. (Chapter 1)
  • The queen’s chariot cannot be stopped. (Chapter 2)
  • The lord of screens cleaved red by blade. (Chapter 3)
  • The knight which makes with blackened knife.
  • Shall duel with heroes strife by strife. (I went with it being here as it's the first time they fight the knight.)
  • The flower man, trapped in asylum. (Chapter 5 or 6)
  • The angel, banished, will finally meet with its desire. (Chapter 5 or 6)
  • They’ll hear the ring oh heaven’s call.
  • Jockington grows the beard. (I think this will happen at the end to confirm the prophesy is still happening.)
  • The last prophecy. The story’s end.
  • To save the world, there is only one way.
  • A world basked in purest light. Beneath it, grew eternal night.
  • The light and dark, both burning dire. A countdown to the earth’s expire.
  • If fountains freed, the roaring cries. And titans shape from darkened eyes. (Admittedly I like repeating these phrases as it makes it sound better.)
  • The last prophecy. The story’s end.
  • And then. When all hope is lost for the tale.
  • The final tragedy unveils.
  • To save the worlds, there is only one way.
  • (Missing) (For obvious reasons.)
  • Only then, will the worlds be saved. (And these would be the end)

One thing of note is the prophesy does not mention a thing about chapter 4 which I find fascinating.

Let me know what you think. I'm curious about other peoples interpretations.

There was one prophecy about Susi obtaining the Hammer from Gerson, altough it was cut, because it's basically optional and therefore not ultimately a prophecy.

Ah that explains it. Could head cannon it that Gerson just added it in himself. Sounds like something he would do.

Simce there's a dialogue with NPc saying that children followed the tail or Somethin.

this is so incredably jarring with tail of hell randomly shoved between the 1st and second hero

Actually this one may count: "They’ll hear the ring oh heaven’s call."
When you plah the pianno that opens the door to pursue the knight, if memory serves you make bell rings. Given the assocation between churches and heaven, church bells could be "heaven call".
Granted it's not necessarily super solid

Also I'm pretty sure:
"They’ll hear the ring oh heaven’s call." and "They’ll see the tail of hell take crawl." are close together. Not jsut because they are so in game, or the thematic opposition (heaven/hell) but also the rhyme. The prophecy often rhyme in pair and there's no other "all" rhymes I see fitting here.
And it makes a lot more sense than the tail of hell showing between two heroes like that.

In the same vein: Note that "The angel, banished, will finally meet with its desire."
seems to rhyme with "The light and dark, both burning dire. A countdown to the earth’s expire."
which make me think it could be closer to those two , possibly in the end.

While I cna see why you'd think that (he does have a tail that drops when you defeat him non vilently andnhe's called "jevil" wihich is a combination of jester and devil),) the tail we see represented looks nothing like Jevil's tail.
More importnatly Jevil is complelty optional. It is perfectly possible to skip him. So I don' t hink that's him mentioned in the prophecy.

Ia ghree tat the girl from "at last was the girl" is likely a different person from "The second hero. The girl, with hope crossed on her heart."
However the girl in "Love finds its way to the girl." is likely the second hero. Due tot he image we see, being very similar. (while teh "at last does not show an image of the girl but show something looking like a rude buster instead)

Yeeeeeeah it CAN'T be Jevil.
Jevil is an optional boss encounter, And according to Ralsei, everything the Prophecy states MUST come to pass.

A lot of people have said 'The Lord Of Screens' ISN'T when Tenna is cleaved, as that is in his arms, NOT his face like in the prophecy

The images of the prophecie are stylised, not accurate photographs fer crying out loud. (which I suppose does work both ways, okay fair enough just because it doesn't look like Jevil tail doesn't men it could be but the argument of hiom still being optional still hold so still pretty sure the tail oif hell ain't him)
I ùean by that logic , the first hero cannot be Kris or the vessl or any human because they dodn't look mlike floating heart with little clawy arms on the side...
No it is Tenna, no one else fills the itel of "Lord of screen" jsut as well yet and with only three chapter to go seems unlikely there'll be another TV man. and he does get cleaved by blade notheless. It jsut fits tto well.

The theory is that Tenna will be ACTUALLY killed LATER in the series.
