Anyone else notice this in the chat? Apparently "Court" is a moderator and a close friend of Max. Obviously, she was also upset and had a private talk with him about how she disapproves of his asinine suicide fantasy. She is now suggesting that Max moves in with her. I cannot foresee this ending well if anything actually comes from it.

Was ‘Luigi’s Day Out’ semi-autobiographical? The premise of the short is that Mario is this generic 2000s era punk who does drugs, plays guitar, has those weird earlobe things and the septum piercing. His mom is a generic Italian mother. Not out of character for Mario to have on its own, but combined with Mario being similar to Max, Max just doing his own voice for the character, and the design for the mom character not being too different from how his mom looks here…
I don’t know anything about Max’s extended family so I don’t know what siblings he may or may not have. Mario isn’t ‘the good guy’ in the short so it’s not like a cartoon caricature beating up their mom or something (Troonworx could NEVER) but it could still be a twisted look into his home life.

Even if he doesn't, he's pulled the drain plug on his own fanbase by doing this. Well i've been had because I could sympathize with his position, but this kind of response made me want to spit on him. He asked for money from strangers so that he can kill himself and it dosen't seem like he realizes what is wrong with that. At a glance he seems to have no remorse about the attention he had created and him focusing on some shitters of the internet, that are calling him names, and then spending time to clarify that he is a real good boy now, just feels super self centered. He needs to figure it the fuck out because it seems like this kind of self centered, egotistic behavior is the start of a lolcow. I don't believe that he can pull this off again in the future without the asskissers turning against him.

Saw this one, made me sick to read such a thing. I think I have a more optimistic view of Max than many of the people here, but at best he is a sick, depressed guy who fell down a rabbit hole of suicidal ideation, and at worst he is a bold-faced grifter who got caught in a lie. Yet, this person here is pearl-clutching, acting like broadcasting your suicide plan to the world live and asking for donations to see it happen, and then having to walk it back, is some great injustice and rape of the individual. It's just a gross line of logic.

That's a bit of a grim analogy given that he was just asking for money to kill himself, but I mean it in the "I won't follow or support you anymore" sense. I want him to get better, but I think he might be a lost cause at this point.

For fuck's sake, what moron went through the trouble of editing in the bit in question and left out Louie's response, which is the crucial part where he gives a sobering response to Stanhope's suicidal ideations?

Presented this way it makes it seem like Stanhope, in his stand-up bit, is saying that the ideation was the most powerful bit of the scene.
 
So in other words despite how successful and beloved a series of his was, as soon as it wasn't as fun for him anymore and it felt too much like real actual work he tells his fans to go fuck themselves and abandons it. Then he pretty much acts like said series never even existed, almost as if for some fucking reason he now resents it.

As someone who grew up watching this guy's stuff back in the day, I always thought it was lame and retarded that this guy was lucky and talented enough to get popular and profit off his own original works (Jerry and WGJ4K), only for him to not give a fuck anymore and just do nothing but parodies (gayass pony and video games shit), which is something literally any hack can do.

And then he abandoned that too for a mediocre review show which later became his sad unhinged online therapy sessions.
