31 July – 2 August 2026 · Hostačov · with EA Czechia
Part of High Summer at Hostačov
A strong programme across AI, policy, education, institutions and inner development, with space for new ideas and collaborations to emerge between the sessions.
The premise
AI is reshaping how we learn, work, govern, organise and understand ourselves. The implications reach far beyond technology, and no field will navigate them alone.
Wayfinding brings together people working on different parts of this transition: researchers, founders, educators, policymakers, organisers, clinicians and people building new institutions. The aim is not to predict the future, but to understand the ground beneath us and become more capable of acting on it.
Less prediction, more honest orientation.
Three threads
Clear-eyed sense-making about AI, technological change and their institutional consequences.
The attention, resilience and inner posture needed to remain useful in a fast-moving environment.
The organisations, collaborations and practical responses already beginning to take shape.
People from Charles University, České priority, PauseAI, Arq Foundation, IDG Czechia, EA Czechia, PAQ Research, Google, the AFFINE alignment community and other organisations will be in the room.
The shape
Welcome dinner in the courtyard and an opening round of short contributions. Optional, but recommended.
Working circles in the morning, parallel sessions through the afternoon, long breaks, dinner and an evening programme. Saturday-only attendance is welcome.
An unconference shaped by what came alive on Saturday. A morning for following questions further, beginning collaborations and proposing work that does not yet have a home.

Around the weekend
EA Czechia will hold a co-working week at Hostačov immediately beforehand, from 27 to 31 July.
It has also set aside initial funding for small grants of up to approximately $10,000 for Czech projects strengthening the response to AI, including advocacy, policy, education and field-building.
Board members will be present during the week and weekend.
The Wellspring festival for integral altruism follows at Hostačov from 6 to 10 August, bringing additional international participants into the wider High Summer residency.
The place
Hostačov is a Renaissance château in the Czech Highlands, around 70 minutes from Prague and two hours from Brno.
Over the past year it has hosted the AFFINE Superintelligence Alignment Seminar, residential co-living seasons, research groups and contemplative and philosophical gatherings.
The courtyard, library and surrounding grounds give serious conversations room to become more spacious, personal and unexpected.
Practicalities
Contributors are hosted as guests. Accommodation, meals and international travel are covered for invited anchors. Shuttle from Golčuv Jeníkov train station provided.
Supported places are available where cost is a genuine barrier. You can request one in the application form.
