In the last days my Discord account got targeted with mass reports that lead to it accumulating a total of 10 strikes so far (2 of which had been already revoked after contacting the Discord moderation team since they were made in bad faith. I've already applied for getting the other ones revoked as well). All these strikes started getting assigned right after I took my stance against mindless vibecoders that are releasing more and more low effort ports for PSVita, making recognization for the work of fellow developers in the scene harder and harder due to the clouth that those generates in subreddits and co.
Those strikes were related to some claims I made about illegal immigration problem that Europe is facing in the last years, with the situation getting out of hands more and more as time passes.
A few bad actors started screenshoting small parts of larger conversations from Vita Nuova discord server and twist those words to promote the rethoric that I'm a racist, fascist, nazist and xenophobe cause I want migrants (legal and not) mass shootings.
- First off, I always said in multiple occasions that I have an utmost respect for EVERY SINGLE legal immigrant. They are invaluable for the economy of our countries and they deserve even more respect than natives due to the fact they not only had to go through language and cultural barriers when they entered a foreign county but also, in most cases, they are the target of prejudices from the extremists that paint everyone with the same brush, specifically due to the bad light that illegal immigrants usually bring to their own country.
- The screenshots that I've seen circulating the most are two: one is from a larger conversation about the recent Ceuta event where Morocco government organized an unarmed assault of the Ceuta border and let over 50.000 illegal immigrants enter Ceuta (a spanish territory where 80.000 spaniards live). My statement on the matter wanted to point out at how such an event is something that the government should have taken action against even by deploying the military to prevent the overcome of the border and has the extremes to be considered a declaration of war. That's pretty much what Russia made in Ukraine with the sole difference that Russia invasion was armed. If Russia sent 1.000.000 unarmed civilians to the border with Ukraine and entered illegally their territory, would that not be considered also as an invasion and an attempt of the government to destabilize, or even worse overrule, the current government at hand?
- The other screenshot I've seen circulating, from the rethoric of the bad actors, would prove that I want every single immigrant shot. This was, again, a small snipper of a larger conversation where a recent reported news was getting discussed about the case in Ireland where an illegal immigrant was attempting to behead an Ireland citizen. My statement was that, since the EU governments seems to not care anymore about the security of their own citizens, it would be better if laws would be passed to allow citizens to defend themselves in case of extreme danger, even resulting in shooting someone when such an event happens. Is it a bit extreme to want that? Maybe but you also should learn to differentiate between the core idea that someone wants to pass (aka: government is not interested in our safety, we feel defenseless and left alone) and the provocative hyperbole that it's unlikely to ever be considered in reality for obvious reasons (let's arm every single citizen and let them to self justice). If anyone was felt offended by the hyperbole part, I'm sorry for that but the idea that the governments should care more about their own citizens is what was meant to pass here. Would I have been spending the same words if the person attempting to behead another human being was an Ireland citizen and the victim a migrant? Of course I would, it just happens that a good percentage of those kind of crimes relative to the actual size of the group in question in the society (as in % of illegal immigrants vs % of illegal immigrants committing those crimes) proves that they're the ones that are most likely to commit those kind of crimes so people, including me, are getting fed up with the situation in Europe and are tired of seeing everyday on mass medias of reports of stabbings, rapes and similar events with the governments never taking serious measures to prevent those issues from happening first and foremost.
I already know that a lot of people will come under this post and will just blindly keep spamming those two screenshots and calling me a racist. It is what it is, I don't want to be liked by everyone cause that's factually impossible, but I feel like I'm entitled at at least saying my side of the story and let people form their own opinion, wether believing what I said or wether a few snippets of 3-4 messages of conversations long hundres of messages are more trustworthy.
Another note that I want to be clear is that those discussions weren't (for the most) not even started by me and they weren't led in Vita related channels. Vita Nuova always had an off-topic channel where all kind of discussions happened: from discussions to the last Nvidia techs, to discussions on the last post of Tim Sweeney bitching about Steam, to the last movie that came out in cinemas, to the last Donald Trump meme, to discussion of last media coverages. It could have been prevented by enforcing a rule to fully ban politics talks? Probably, but when discussions are kept civil without extremists (on both parts), I think political debate can be interesting + it clearly wasn't the reason the server existed starting with. There wasn't a dedicated channel for politics and one could've just ignored the off-topic channel at all if he didn't want to hear about those kind of talks (which I understand not everyone cares about). Also want to make clear that whenever I talked about political stuffs, it was always either international events related or Europe related. I don't live in US so I don't even dare to have a valid opinion or understanding to form one on the immigration topic that's also quite hot there, so I never dared to put my mouth on that.
Poltical bullshit aside, after seeing all the messages of hate towards me, without anyone even remotely considering to maybe reach me out and ask what was the context of those messages or even remotely thinking "maybe there's more behind this, he can't be this stupid to post such awful stuffs in public", with people trying their best to cancel me and everyone taking my defense getting censored off by downvoting them so that their messages were relegated to the bottom of those comment sections, I've decided that I no longer want to be part of this community and I'm leaving the PSVita homebrew scene for good. I spent my last 10 years pouring thousands and thousands of hours of my spare time to give people homebrew, ports, libraries, development help and tips, my insights on optimization techniques and problem-solving, building and maintaining a platform to allow end users to easily access other developers work and, at the same time, offering developers a platform where they can advertise their work and get some money off their own work via donation links, and all I got back is attempts to discredit me and calling me with awful words that couldn't be more distant to what I really am.
Vita Nuova has also been turned into a private Discord server to prevent insights contained in the #development channel to not get lost, as a few developers pointed me out. This was a measure mostly done to stop the mass-reports from happening.
To all my supporters during these years that spent some time using my homebrews, testing them, leaving a like on my release posts, spending a few nice words on my release posts, commenting and sharing my works, an heartful thanks. You guys are the fuel that keep developers working on homebrews, cause all we guys want when we release something, is some appreciation in return, nothing more.

VitaDB will be soon restored as a personal website hosting only my own homebrew since I still, to this day, receive a couple of e-mails asking me where to get my old 3DS homebrew since the links on my website are dead. Restoring VitaDB as a central repository of my own PSVita works will prevent this for happening again.
vitaGL+ is canceled, which is why my last posts were removed. I might work on it in the future to allow a few developers in the community part of a private server we have to benefit from all the ideas I had in mind to make vitaGL way crazier than it is right now, but for now on, I've no motivation to do that either.
If you have to comment under this post just to keep fueling hate, you'll be blocked, keep things civil or don't start screaming "censorship" when you'll see yourself unable to write down my posts.

- Vita Nuova is no longer a public server, only a few restricted circle of people are in it, mostly developers, in order to allow the development tips and hints inside it not go lost.
- VitaDB will be soon restored as a personal homebrew repository, hosting solely my own works.
- vitaGL+ is canceled as a source-free publicly available piece of work but might or might not resurface as a closed-source private library available only to a few developers in the scene.
