I sure can, it's what happens after October, as it is the 11th month of the year.
But it's also two weeks since Bupdate, so you know what that means!

Hey all, Earndil here with another POST.

What has been happening in the production chat lately, I hear you ask?

                                    『HUNTER: THE PARENTING』

Well, thanks to everyone's diligent efforts (Rude Rubicante, Eliphus, Ironirocal) we have ALMOST finished up the last of our very necessary fullbody pieces for the TTS-Style scenes (for newcomers, this is any scene shot from the side, and viewing the entire/most of the body of a character, reminiscent of our old work with ItEHaTTSD (funny abbreviation that EVERYONE uses)).
It's a huge amount of progress for us since it will allow us to quickly and efficiently produce those scenes, and all scenes using the models going forward.

Production of fully paneled scenes continues at pace thanks to Garrot, and yields some very funny WIP images.
Our dear Cockpuncher3 has now FINALLY finished the storyboard for EP4 and has, for the first time, joined his fellow illustrators in the Panels Pit, fully realising some of the best art his fantastic storyboard had to offer.

Alfa and Karl are still slaving away at animation, and everything looks utterly ridiculous that has been created thus far. Here's a yet another short little example that we will relegate to a link for today!

And of course doing the lion's share of our audio work currently is Dr. White who has been filling the role quite admirably and continues to be a very valued part of our crew in this capacity.

This is all in service of saying that progress is being made, though as to be expected we're still not even half-way done with it by this point. That is NOT to say however that we don't predict this to be delayed too long, remember that we are confident that we can avoid the glacial release schedules of our old TTS days, but as quality goes up, so too does the time investment.

☉ SCRIPT-WRITING: More Shorts perhaps?

Now, you may notice that in all of the prior paragraph there was no mention of either Me nor SpeakerD?

That, my little gulchards, is because we scriptwriters have been busy working on scripts for Shorts! No! Not the PANT! 

In an effort to provide people with... SOMETHING at least inbetween larger releases, we have decided to try out using Youtube's Shorts system to provide 30 second or 1 minute long videos showing some little aspect of WoD that could be interesting, entertaining, or just absolutely fucking stupid, which can fall under either of the two.

We've decided on variably showing small aspects of WoD, showing some of our little corner of this World of Darkness in Norfolk, and just funny things that come to mind.

So far we have conjured together some rather humorous scripts where Kevin and Sergeant Detective Guy Chapman have to get along at work, and Kevin's a vampire, so like... that's pretty weird right? Does he scream at people? You know he does! Is Guy affable, and generally aloof? You bet he is! Will they decipher the mystery of the Mayan Temple? Odds are, no. But we hope the little snippets will whet your appetites for any future big episodes all the same. These Shorts are currently on track to be produced AFTER we finish the upcoming Episode 4, since we currently want all hands on deck to cobble it together.

                                       『NORFOLK WIZARD GAME』

On the other side of the globe, in Norfolk, VA, work continues at pace on prepping the audio for the Norfolk Wizard Game, Speaker's very powerful Mage Liveplay that we have been working on! 

Dr. White is still preparing that to sound very epic, so that will hopefully also serve as a font of entertainment while we work on EP4. Here is a teaser of his work for EP1, staring both Bill and Sybil:

Odoroshi, whom you may or may not know as Grimal in HTP, Sybil in the Wizard Game, as well as from her dalliances with Narrative Declaration, AS WELL as from her work as our esteemed Logo Maker, has put together a very slick looking RPG layout for the Mage game, and we're seeing it all come together in our final YouTube release of the Awakenings after EP4.

Earndil here with an unscheduled post-

I am so fuckingv stressed guys. The entire production chat is stressed. We are stressed like a metal beam holding up an entire concrete building like a comedy meatbone. BUT!

Chapter 6 should (hopefully) be releasing on Friday the 31st. There are some final pieces to complete, but oh god my colon hurts, we're so close to completing it and getting it out for you all.

AND YET.

Even though we are perilously close to completing our fell task, we are supremely worried about a number of factors. Namely that, as has been the case with Youtube and their foul metrics, analytics, and death cult hexes placed on us, we do worry immensely about reach. As you know, growing and broadening our fan base, roping new people in to enjoy our work, giving the video views, and possibly enticing people into joining the Patreon, is what we have to do to survive.

We are, at the end of the day, happy to produce media for you all to consume, and that goal has not changed. The unfortunate and annoying reality, though, is that we have been enduring a number of financial issues (as per usual, this business is hard) that are making things difficult, to put it lightly. Odds are we'll have to do yet another State of the Ogre video in the latter months of the year, just so we can try to keep our people employed. In what feels like an irksome twist of fate, making a yearly "Call to Action" video is what provides the company with just enough of a nudge to ensure we don't collapse, and that thought really sucks!

What does this mean I am asking, you may ask me in return? Only the barest possible request: Please share this upcoming episode around, as you lovely people tend to do. We will not be slacking this week either, between working on the next audiolog, the final touches on EP6, and other considerations, we will also be doing our best to hype and advertise. It's been 500+ days, and I can hear Garrot and Alfa withering audibly as I say that, since our last mainline episode release, and we have something to show for it, but man. That stings. Please, do your best to share it around when the time comes, help us hype and excite, it is all we can ask, and we'll be right there with you.

So, for context.

We decided we wanted to do more silly podcast shit with Marckus and Kitten.
Last time we did one of these it wasn't exactly popular, but among those who did delve in and dug what it was trying to do, it was quite well-received.

This time, we're intent on making more of a format out of it.
Not quite as scattershot, but rather, focused on a singular goal; find a real haunted video game. An exploration of the still-developing scene that was the idea of what a haunted video game could be, and what it would eventually evolve into in the years to come.
If you've been in the general video gamey internet creepypasta urban legend scene anywhere within the last 15 or so years, you should likely be able to tell where we draw inspiration from with each of the games that end up within these little audiologs.

We intend of continuing to do these from here-on, and our intent is also, and I want to be very explicit about this... to make it the series we put the least amount of effort into.
We always tend to brutally fail at attempting lower effort endeavours that are easier and faster to produce (see, Audiologs, NWG, shorts)...
But this?
We feel we have a firmer handle on it, as the audio is much simpler to produce, and the visuals, when it releases on YouTube, will be much more limited in scope.

Obviously, we want to release things that we believe are qualitative enough for you to actually enjoy.
But, here, the focus will lie mostly in the writing and the character dynamic, as opposed to absolutely anything else. It will stand or fall by the power of our scriptists and voiceworkers, and that is where these things will have this stay.

What's more though!
Q & A SEGMENT IS BACK.

Finally, FINALLY, we are bringing back some measure of AUDIENCE INTERACTION!!!
WOW!!!!

This is something we regularly dabbled in, and quite enjoyed, when we were doing TTS.
And we've been looking for a way to reimplement it.
This, obviously, is the easiest way of doing so!

IMPORTANT FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING QUESTIONS!
We will, in all likelihood, mostly accept questions that have a reasonable amount of verisimilitude about them. That is so say, as you write, do not break the 4th wall.
Assume that you are in the year 2006, and you are writing to two freaks you only know through this extremely niche internet show.
Or, perhaps you too are a freak, and you know them through the so-called "Mangledteeth Forum" (context in the episode itself).

We could accept some creative writing or fun lore applications on your end though, we're not super demanding about our specifications here.
Just saying, we will likely go for the kind of questions that are easiest to actually answer within the context of the universe.

And, hey, if you want it to roleplay your own WoD character sending in a question for whatever reason? More power to you, that's always fun.
Just don't go overbroad and pretend to be, like, a lore-brained Arete 10 Virtual Adept downloading the vast secrets of the universe into the skulls of our poor little Hunters against their wills.
We'll not engage with people explaining a bunch of lore, no "game-jacking" shit, nothing that'll make our storytelling harder on us!

... With that all being said, hope you enjoy this little thing, and hope you'll enjoy more of this stuff to come in the future.
Of course, especially if this in particular isn't your jam, know that all the "regularly" "scheduled" "programing" still is very much getting the lion's share of the attention and energy!
