US-headquartered Freehand has raised $75 million in funding, while TA Associates has invested in Oxane Partners.

AI startup Freehand raises $75m

Freehand, a US-headquartered startup with operations in India that builds AI agents to manage supply-chain spending for large enterprises, has raised $75 million in funding, per a announcement.

The round was co-led by Battery Ventures and NewRoad Capital Partners, with participation from PSP Growth, the venture firm founded by former US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker; Nexus Venture Partners; and other investors.

In India, the startup operates through a Chennai-based subsidiary, Freehand Technologies India, and has been hiring across functions including people operations, marketing and business development.

“Enterprises spend $16 billion a year on supply-chain software and another $348 billion hiring people to do what this software cannot,” said Nitin Jayakrishnan, co-founder and CEO of Freehand.

“We built Freehand to close that gap—with AI Agents that decide, act, and take accountability for outcomes. This is the beginning of true autonomy in the enterprise,” he added.

TA Associates invests in Oxane Partners

TA Associates, a US-headquartered private equity firm, has invested in Oxane Partners, a technology-driven solutions provider to the private credit industry.

Headquartered in the UK, Oxane has a substantial presence in India. It’s standalone revenue in the country stood at Rs 164.3 crore in FY25, stated a Mint report. This marked an increase from Rs 104.6 crore a year earlier.

Established in 2014 by former Deutsche Bank credit traders Vishal Soni and Sumit Gupta, Oxane’s technology platform helps banks and private debt funds to manage, monitor, analyse, and service credit assets through its flagship product, Oxane Panorama.

The company has a headcount of over 900 people across markets such as New York, Gurgaon, and Hyderabad.
