Farm Watt Innovations raises $3.4m

Biotech startup Farm Watt Innovations has raised nearly $3.4 million (Rs 32.5 crore) in a new funding round co-led by IAN Alpha Fund and Rainmatter.

The fresh capital will be utilised to strengthen the supply chain for India’s rapidly expanding bioenergy sector, increase the number of biomass collection networks, construct additional aggregation hubs, invest in machinery, and develop its workforce, the startup said in a statement on Thursday.

Founded in 2023 by Kumar Neelendu, Farm Watt Innovations Pvt Ltd operates as a climate-focused agribusiness and bioenergy enabler, working at the intersection of agricultural waste management, rural livelihood generation, and renewable energy supply chains. The company’s core operations include the aggregation, processing, and supply of agricultural biomass for downstream bioenergy applications, including compressed biogas (CBG) plants, bioenergy facilities, and circular bioeconomy enterprises.

The company operates 15 hubs across six states and plans to expand into additional regions including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Bihar, while also scaling into areas such as digital biomass supply chains, carbon credits, biochar, and bio-CBG.

IPV leads funding in NeuralKart

AI-Insurtech company NeuralKart has raised $244,792 (Rs 2.35 crore) in its seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures.

The capital will be utilised for product development and AI/ML engineering, customer acquisition and go-to-market expansion, NeuralKart said in a statement.

Founded in 2024 by Manoj Raju, Srigopal Gopisetty, Shreyas R. Halageri and Vidvath Kamireddy, NeuralKart is an AI company automating enterprise workflows for insurance and industrial safety through its two platforms, InsureMind and FieldSense.

InsureMind ingests an insurer’s own product prospectus as the authoritative rulebook, then automates underwriting, claims, renewals and audits end-to-end, enabling straight-through processing while surfacing inconsistencies for human review. FieldSense fuses drone, CCTV, IP-camera and sensor data with computer vision to detect unsafe conditions on industrial sites in real time, producing risk-scored, auditable outputs.
