I completely understand the shock value and the reaction of those who think this is amazing. Perhaps it’s an unpopular opinion but For me, that feeling didn’t last. I got a pit in my stomach thinking about how vulnerable this country is - if two (experienced climbers) can scale one of the largest buildings in NYC, what else can be done. T3rrorists across the world are probably salivating right now…… a weakness exposed during the worst possible time for America and more importantly NYC.
We have someone in NYC who won the primary that wants to dismantle TSA pre-check- idk maybe streamline it. Crazy. is it going to be open season for terror.
Where was security? How were they not stopped? wtf is happening.
Batman and cat woman are already out - throw the book at them.

I thought it was cool, but you are correct. That said, I’d rather we find out about our vulnerability through performance art than terrorism, as long as we FIX it.

I’m from NYC — a lot of the cops have always had beer bellies 😂

And then they proposed to each other. White privilege and performative activism, plus enabling terrorism. These people are never beating the allegations.

LOL breaking into buildings is always been a thing. They’ve been doing it for so long. Very weird this one in particular went so viral. In cybersecurity is a whole field of study and every professional knows that buildings are super vulnerable, but only crazy people climb to the top for likes
.
This couple in particular are like very normal Russians, meaning, so used to death. I’m kinda more curious about their connections to money laundering and oligarchs but there doesn’t seem to be a good answer anywhere

How this is being romanticized is sickening.
1. They have no regard for their own lives.
2. They have no regard for other people’s lives.
3. Our security sucks !!!!!!!!
There are thousands of people celebrating the fact that these two people managed to get to the top of the Empire State Building… now imagine if they had terrible intentions…. they would’ve succeeded.

You’re correct on so many levels. They call it their art, but it’s extraordinarily selfish in so many ways. They could’ve unalived anyone they fell on, they wasted tax payer money & first responder time and lives to rescue them, they risk the lives of copycats especially among our youth, they inspire terrorists, i think there’s a thousand reasons this is NOT ART and simply dangerously selfish.
