Unusual cloud formations appeared over Kumamoto, Japan, shortly after the magnitude 7.1 earthquake.
looks like a cumulonimbus incus cloud that formed as warm, moist air rises rapidly to create a mushroom like storm cloud. it indicates heavy rain or storms and just happened to appear after the earthquake, so there's zero connection between them
Was seen all over the place, even 3 hours away in Saga prefecture which is just weird.
