arr-supremacyRebloggedquietbooklionFollowSince Reverse 1999 is basically my all time favorite gacha game and Ayakashi Romance Reborn takes place in a historical setting, why not combine my two fixations. In keeping in touch with R1999 having a predominantly female cast, Futaba is going to be added. And if I had to pick one guy, it's Akiyasu. Mainly because he's probably the most complex of the cast due to his past. Not to mention in R1999 there are plenty of playable characters who have a dubious past or have done bad things. Meaning Aki would fit in.And these are their afflatus.Both would be Mental characters with Futaba being a buffer and Akiyasu being a debuffer. If you thought they were traumatized in ayakoi, its nothing compared to R1999. How they'll fit in with the setting of R1999 with the Strom, the Foundation, or Manus Vindictae, I don't know but it's fun to think about.18

arr-supremacyRebloggedquietbooklionFollowI think this may be my favorite story involving Ginnojo and Kuro.If you look at my reviews of both Ginnojo and Kuro in the masterlist, I wasn't the biggest fan of either story. I would say Kuro was slightly better while Ginnojo's story disappointed me. I still like him as a character but he was very one-dimensional in his main story. But this event story mentioned above gave a new perspective to both of them. I won't spoil it but I liked how the story tackled the themes of change and how it can be liberating to change as time goes on while also being content with some things staying the same. The story adds more to Ginnojo's and Kuro's relationship as well since part of the story is told in flashbacks. I think this story was a great moment for both of them to grow as characters. 14

While Gaku, though still has a sharp tongue, seems more down to earth. He doesn't seem like someone who's entirely honest with his feelings, but if you listen closely, his actions and words actually reveal a lot of them. I see him as unexpectedly honest and true. He seems like that friend you often bicker with, someone you can't figure out most of the time, but then there are moments when he'd laugh and his heart would be like an open book, and then you realize, he's had your back this entire time. He's that friend who would say they wouldn't miss you if you leave, but then finds himself waiting for the day you would return for the next thousand years. 1637
