Seconding Visions of Atlantis. The new lineup is incredible. For catchy songs, try Monster, Tonight I'm alive, Clocks. For longer, more epic symphonic metal, try Master the hurricane, Dead to the sea, Where the sky and oceans blend. For ballads, try Freedom and Ashes to the sea. You must watch their live videos, they are up on YouTube. Their live energy is infectious 😍

I don't think Alicia maliciously threw Billy under the bus. She just seems to be someone who genuinely doesn't understand finances or try to understand them either. Add to that, she's new to reality TV and probably didn't realise how the edit would look or how much fans would overanalyze things.

Jo-Ellen's political views does not make Liz a good person. The two are uncorrelated in my opinion. There was a situation, irrespective of who is the worse human, Liz is the one who acted worse in that moment.

Not the person you asked, but answering as a fellow Imaginaerum fan - this album is a no skip for me. Songs like Storytime, Ghost river, Last ride of the day and Scaretale are bangers. Turn lose the mermaids helped me during my father's cancer/passing, it's so soothing. I want my tears back and Song of myself are the right amount of longing for lost innocence for me. This album is just perfect from start to end. Add in the Wacken 2013 Live performance with Floor Jansen, and yep, it's PERFECT!

Thank you for doing the Lord's work 🙏🏻 I knew it's messy, but with the timeline in front of me, now I realise just how messy this is! And now I have a new conspiracy theory (which is probably true) that the producer deliberately left Kelley out of WTA because she was jealous

Recommendations for Charlotte Wessels' solo work?
Recommendations for Charlotte Wessels' solo work?

I recently came across Charlotte Wessels' "Chasing sunsets" and it blew my mind. Since then, I've found "The crying room", "Ode to the west wind" and "Human to ruin", which I've also loved. However, I also stumbled upon a lot of songs that sounded more "pop" to me. I would like some more metal influenced songs, whether heavy or even ballads, with unique melodies and guitars. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated here! Thanks in advance!

I'm so confused. One or more men are eliminated each week until just 2 remain. In the finale, just 2 are supposed to be left. The rest come back for the Men Tell All. Is that what he's alluding to without actual knowledge of how the show works? Because why would the men come back for her finale?

I'm listening to Charlotte's The Obsession, when I starting looking up the break-up. I'm so happy to see this comment has aged so well. The 4 of them really are amazing together! 😊

She acts like it was 10 years of a monogamous relationship, but it wasn't. It was an arrangement, during which he dated other women, she dated other men. It's not the same thing, as say, Billy and Alicia's relationship 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is the part that makes me wonder if Rulla knows and is just trying to keep it under wraps. She left the polo match and returned to the polo match. What even was the point of leaving if she didn't go to the in-laws? And if the MIL was sick, whether hospitalized or not, how could they leave the kids with them and go to Polo? When Ashley's toddler was sick during the boat ride, she left and didn't come back. Priorities. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't mind her. I dislike her constantly harping on Rosie. If she can let that go, it'll actually be interesting to see a former sugar baby turned regular adjusting to life and this group. ETA: Would also be good to see her treat Billy with more respect.

I can sort of believe it. I felt like she was very toned down in the reunion, compared to how she's been the whole season. She went from a fan favourite to being perceived as a villain by many. There's also legal stuff going on with their friend Dino. It might make sense to lay low now than risk a dangerous fall from grace next season.

I don't agree though. His storyline, while juicy, has been extremely exasperating for me. I hope and pray it's dropped next season... The entire ensemble delivered, and that's why the show worked. And Alicia was the gift that kept giving, for me. ❤️

I don't like any of the 3 individuals involved in this "love" triangle - Brian for cheating and lying, the mistress for cheating and being fame hungry, and Rulla for burying her head in the sand and misdirecting her anger at Jo-Ellen.

commented

I'm not an US citizen but in my country, if you're still legally married, you cannot legally remarry. If Brian was not yet divorced, how would he and Rulla get married? Surely if Rulla has a prenup she had her lawyers go over her marriage certificate of all things, and she seems savvy too. I'm starting to believe the rumor that she had an affair with Brian while he was still married to Alicia's Spanish teacher. That would explain this whole discrepancy. Surely Rulla knows her own wedding date!

commented

I'm glad you brought up Ashley's sister. Isn't she a mistress to a married women in this season of BIP? If I remember correctly, that might explain the grace she gives Rulla.

So now Kelsey is saying she didn't have an affair with her boss, but with a basketball coach, and she had problems with colleagues which lead to leaving the job? Yeah, whatever little credibility she had left for me is gone.

I thought Rulla and Liz both had middle eastern heritage, revealed in the earlier episodes, so where are the racism claims coming from? It's just interpersonal drama.

I now have this feeling that she signed on to the show thinking she'll be able to paint Jo Ellen as a liar trying to ruin her marriage, just like how they called Jo Ellen's work. There's no way they agreed to this show if they didn't think they could spin it their way.

Oh yes Charlotte is amazing and special, undoubtedly. I listen to her era of songs a lot, even the more pop sounding ones. They're catchy as hell. I just mean that I like how metal it sounds now. Hopefully it gets better with Diana with more album releases. I remember for Nightwish Anette was a perfect fit for Imaginaerum, her second album 😊

Delain with Charlotte Wessels, as much as I adore her, was becoming more and more "pop" sounding towards the end with some heavy elements. Delain with Diana now is much more heavier and much more representative of symphonic metal. Compare "Vengeance" with "Underland" and you'll understand what I mean.

Kamelot with Roy Khan was 10x better than Kamelot with Tommy, but it's not because of the vocals but because of the writing/ modern production. Tommy is a damn good vocalist. I love his work in Ayreon.

What infuriates me even more is she didn't even take a look at the video. If she had looked, from her husband's clothes/demeaner/background clues she might have actually been able to know for certain if the video is old or new. How can she dismiss it as old or fake without even looking at it? This makes me think she doesn't actually want to know, she's just pretending that she does hoping no new info lands in Jo-Ellen's lap.

I know Ashley from the Bachelor. And I like her. She's the reason I started watching RHORI. But I agree that she brings nothing to the table. I personally think she should be given one more season, to see if she actually brings a juicy storyline, otherwise, reduce her to a friend of.

Rulla is actually delusional. "When I was on my death bed." I'm sorry what? 😂

I like Billy. From what I've seen of him on the show, I really do like him. I don't know what the prenup situation is with Alicia, but I really am rooting for these two!

Also, did you guys catch when Liz's husband Gerry said "definitely not a question for me" when the question said "what have you never told this group?" 👀

At this point, the primary reason I won't watch this season is of course still TFP, but a secondary reason has also emerged - I find the men extremely thirsty and annoying, without them ever even being on my screen. This is the rare season where I dislike both the lead and the contestants.

Same! Delain's Dark Waters and VOA's Pirates/Pirates II are some of my favorites and I find them here. On the other hand, the Kamelot albums he mastered don't work for me. So I think this might just be due to bands changing members/their sound, and not the producer's inherent fault.

I'm in love with The Holographic principle. Ascension, Once upon a nightmare, Dancing in a hurricane and the title track are my favourites. The music of these songs grab me. Ascension has a pretty cool intro. Once upon a nightmare tells a story, starting with a ballad and narration before delving into more heavier sound. Dancing in a hurricane has that oriental-like percussion that's at the heart of it. And the title track is a typical epic Epica song, the scale change at the end hits different. I'm someone who also prefers the older stuff to the newer ones, so I love you like this album too! 😊

Question about the confessionals
Question about the confessionals
Question about the confessionals

When are the confessionals filmed? I notice every woman is wearing basically 2/3 outfits for all the episodes' confessionals. It makes me think that the entirety of confessionals was filmed after filming on the season wrapped, and not in between.

I'm comparing it to BN shows. There the cast is wearing the same clothes in the confessional that they were during the episode, so we know that the confessionals are probably filmed after the last scene of the episode/week.

I ask this because it would explain every woman's attitude towards the others. When the season started, the fights didn't start, yet the confessionals bring out the bitterness that can be better explained if they were filmed after the whole season.

Thoughts?

Also, it's Alicia "Jane's Fonda" Carmody. She doesn't always use the perfect words. I've watched her on TV for 9 episodes and I know this. Liz has supposedly known her for so long, how can she not? This wasn't something to double down on, specially when it's something that makes Alicia sad. Team Alicia all the way!

My problem is not that her ex is helping her. My problem is that a) she claims to be independent when she isn't, and b) she's coming after Rosie for her square footage when she herself doesn't own a single square footage.

I don't think Floor will leave Nightwish. A lot of vocalists have side stuff. Clemi from VOA has Exit Eden, Meek from VOA has Temperance. Diana from Delain has DYYA, Martin from Delain has that folk metal band with Johanna. So to me, having solo projects during a break doesn't indicate a member is leaving a band.

There are, however, no indications that Nightwish will come back any time soon. I feel like maybe they'd be back in 10 years? Until there's an official statement, we can only speculate. I hope for new music with their old lyrical themes some day, so fingers crossed.

Yeah, they said 2-3 years break from touring and nothing has been said after that, nothing is announced for a 30-year anniversary or for a new album. There are no indications they will be back anytime soon.

I assume the business that her face is Pizza Mamma? Someone from RI please fill in me on this part!

I think TFP is not a great person. Having said that, I'm also not enjoying watching her unravel on social media. I think she should not be given a platform, given the terrible things that she has done. I also think she should not be given a platform because it's bad for her mental health as well. So on both points, I'm absolutely against this season airing.

commented

My guess is they're all required to film X hours, and since she's bringing the main drama of this season with the mistress storyline, they're more lenient with her about not filming with the others maybe?

As much as I love Charlotte, I love Diana too and I've come to appreciate the heavier turn Delain has taken during the Diana era instead of the "poppier" sound during the later Charlotte era. Just compare "The quest and the curse" with "Get the devil out of me". I'm not saying one is objectively better as a song that the other. I love them equally. But one does sound heavier than the other. And I love this era we're in.

When it comes to the fight between Rosie and Kelsey, Kelsey is coming at Rosie for no solid reason and I'm siding with Rosie. But Rosie in general has not been my favourite (trying to start a fight between Liz and Alicia/ between Liz and Ashley who is her friend supposedly) while Kelsey has in general been nicer to everyone else.

Genuine question from a non American: Why are we advocating for Alicia to have her name on the house she shares with her fiance, if it's a bad thing to have your name on the house you share with your partner?

Please don't take my question the wrong way, but I'm new to the world of RH, this is the first season I'm watching, and I'm wondering why they're called "housewives" when some of them have such stable careers. Again, nothing but love for the show and the women (I'm obsessed), I'm just curious as a new viewer.

I don't like how she's actively defending her husband but I like her otherwise, specially when she offers advice to the other ladies (Example: To Alicia about her marriage/ prenup). I can relate, because I find it easier to offer sound advice to a third person when I'm not emotionally involved versus when I'm the one needing advice.

I speak only for myself, not others when I say this, but I kind of went into this expecting sort of a Nympathamind/ Lilith Immaculate kind of Cradle of Filth, Gothic metal sound. So when it sounded kind of neo-symphonic (I don't know the best word to describe it), I was very shocked. The "I don't like it" probably stemmed from my expectations not being met, not the song being actually bad. Now after 2-3 listens, I do like it a lot. I like both the originals and the single version, but I'm curious to see how the Tarja only version sounds!

I think they had issues and the divorce wasn't shocking. The "came out of nowhere" complaint stems, at least for me, from how the final season was spent entirely on the wedding only for them to be divorced RIGHT after. The events that occurred in the series, spanning over years from marriage to divorce, made sense, but the pacing of the episodes portraying them didn't.

I understand the break for Nightwish and I would respect it a bit more if Nightwish didn't tour with Floor during both her pregnancy and cancer. Now, Floor is a veteran, and it was her decision to continue, but as a fan, it frustrates me that they didn't take a break when their lead singer needed it but they're taking a break now. It's worse because previously, Jukka quit because he needed a break(physical exhaustion while touring due to chronic insomnia), Marko quit because he needed a break (mental health struggles, burnout), Anette was fired because she got sick and needed a break, and it just looks like Nightwish is the problem.

Why would he agree to a storyline that paints him as a morally dubious person? From what I've read about him here, he needs neither the money nor the PR from the show.

As much as I'm a Nightwish fan, I'm also an Epica fan, and I'd rank both The Holographic Principle (2016) and Omega (2021) higher than the last 3 Nightwish albums. (My favourite Nightwish albums are Once and Imaginaerum, by the way. I'm a huge Floor Jansen fan, I listen to her Live versions of Nightwish songs. So Floor isn't the problem for me at all, it's just the lyrical themes of the last albums.)

Try the last 2 albums of Visions of Atlantis! They call themselves visual cinematic pirate metal! Their music videos have a whole storyline, and their live performances have great choreography too!
