Being a fan in other parts of the world is hard.
Especially now with movie out.
I support the series by spending a little dosh on Chiikawa Pocket, but while I patiently wait to spend my money on official English releases, we stay sailing the high seas.

The japanese grocer sells chiikawa stiff but they look bootlegged
I live a state over from a Miniso, and I want to take a road trip there…. One day!
Unfortunately japan is like this with a lot of stuff. There have been stories of foreigners not being let inside concerts for not have a japanese place of residence
Yeah, they are a weird harder core outlier, but honestly every country is guilty of this shit is some way. We all suck. It’s all pomp and circumstance with greed mixed in when we boil it down to its very essence.

I understand licensing, logistics, localization, etc, but it doesn’t have to be that hard. Society makes it that way and it’s fucked.
People just want to live life and enjoy things.
Hang in there and try to make the best of it! At least we have a way to enjoy these things through the Internet and fans who translate it!
oh i was just complaining about this to a friend. it's crazy the amount of chiikawa fans that i've met who have never seen the show/manga solely due to how difficult it is to get outside of japan, especially legally. i pray we can get the movie soon because, i'm suffering from the envy 🤧💔
