Jacob Misiorowski Batting
Been thinking about when the national league still had pitchers taking at bats. I couldn’t imagine the Miz stepping into the batters box. I think it would be a sight to see. Has anyone seen him take an at bat at any point in his baseball career, or was he a PO in high school and college?

I was living in Seattle at the time and Lou Piniella (the Mariners' manager) started calling him Lurch after that game.

It's a joke. You'll hear announcers say it a lot when a pitcher successfully covers first or otherwise has to actually get involved in a play.
When he was on Mookie Betts podcast, Miz laughed and said he couldn't hit 85 mph.
Say what you will about the DH making for better baseball, but nothing will ever be as electric as Woodruff going yard on Kershaw in the playoffs, man.

IMHO, I wasn't a fan of when they made the DH a part of the national league as well as that was the charm of interleague games
As much as I want to see them return to these days of when the DH was an AL thing only, I sadly don't think it'll ever happen
I think it’s a good change honestly for no other reason than protecting pitchers from unnecessary injury risks that come with hitting.
I'm glad he doesn't have to. Not because I'm afraid he would get hit by a 103 mph fastball, rather because seeing one from the batter's perspective might cause him to realize the agony he's putting batters through which could lead to an existential crisis
