I had a fantastic few days at the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN) Conference 2026 a few weeks back - we had engaging conversations, I met colleagues in person I’d only ever worked with online, and we heard so many fantastic talks about open research and the future of responsible research practice. It was a great pleasure working with Lutfi Othman, PhD and Corinne Jola to co‑chair the joint UKRN Arts Research and Qualitative Research SIG panel “Open Research: What does it mean for the arts, humanities and social sciences?”. Huge thanks to our excellent panelists Jenni Adams, Richard Ball, Matt Cannon, Jenny Evans, Moya Fox, Pen-Yuan H., and Scott McLaughlin for their thoughtful contributions and lively discussion in response to the community’s provocations. Big thanks also to Leeds Arts University and to Prof Sam Broadhead for their support in making this activity possible, and a well‑deserved congratulations to Will Gawned, Etienne Roesch, Neil Jacobs and the rest of the team for a fantastic first UKRN Conference. #UKRN #UKRN2026 #OpenResearch #ResearchCulture #AHSS #ArtsResearch #QualitativeResearch #REF2029
