“So what do you actually do?”
Spins around like a clock trying to cover everything at once.
Actually that’s not even everything
My mom still doesn’t fully understand what I do for work and honestly I get it 😂
The job is broad and layered. It moves between graphic design, research, rt direction, set design, storytelling but above all, it’s about sensitivity.
Seeing things before they exist. Shaping emotions into visuals. Making chaos feel intentional.
People think creative direction is just having good taste, but in reality behind every work there’s about thousand micro-decisions nobody sees.
One moment I’m building an entire brand world.
The next I’m fixing a layout, briefing a team, reviewing edits, choosing textures, rewriting copy, sourcing props, analysing trends or giving feedback on sound design for example.
This work lives somewhere between strategy, aesthetics and sensitivity.
You have to feel culture before you can translate it into images.
