long time no see on this account but it feels like it's getting worse around these parts again. you have isff 1) defending an admitted rapist and abuser of trans women and calling anyone who criticises her a monster, and 2) hard pivoting back to going to bat for pedophiles, which is always a great thing to see. relatedly, this-site-isnt-safe-for-me is back as tfap-tgirl, posting about 'pedomisia' and comparing therapy for pedophiles to queer conversion therapy, which isff has also been doing.

i think what scares me most about this new wave of shit, especially the defence of sophie, is that there's no attempt to even try and deny the harm done to victims, transfem victims. the energy instead becomes a very 'think of the rapist's future!' sort of thing - if you call out abusers in your communities you're no better than cops, you're not my sisters 'you're monsters' (notice the degendering there), etcetera etcetera. couple this with the pedophile posting, the constant fearmongering of anyone who isn't transfem, or even who is transfem and dares to disagree with them, and the insistence on whatever self-serving perversion of youthlib these sorts of people have latches onto, and you create an almost cultush environment ripe for abuse, especially for the abuse of young, isolated trans girls.
