About this tool
Open Graph (OG) tags are HTML meta tags that control how your pages appear when shared on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Slack. Without them, platforms make guesses about your page title, image, and description - often with poor results.
The most important tags are og:title, og:description, and og:image. The image should be at least 1200x630px. If Twitter-specific tags are absent, platforms fall back to the OG equivalents, so you don't always need both.
The meta description tag is separate from og:description - it controls the snippet shown in Google search results. Keep it under 160 characters, and make sure it matches the page content accurately.
