I’d read a newspaper on the train to work. I watched the news a few times a week if I caught it. Back then, the news was a 30-minute programme at 1 pm, 6 pm, and 9 pm.
That was it.
The rest of the day belonged to your own thoughts. You could form opinions without being nudged, provoked, or instructed on what to think every five minutes.
Bliss.
Now there is a barrage of content 24 hours a day. Notifications, feeds, reels, threads, breaking news, algorithmic recommendations. It never stops.
And as a content creator, you’re told you must compete in that noise… or disappear.
