I was just about to buy over 210 in physical copies of their films, including the Backrooms pre-order. I know it isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I will not click buy until this whole thing gets sorted.

I've always worried about "open-source" fiction that is basically owned by nobody being at risk of something like this happening when a larger entity tried to take ownership of the concept. The original author of the idea is unknown and probably couldn't prove it was their idea.

None of us could have expected this and it’s a terrible way to treat fans who made this movie launch as successful as it was worldwide; seeing it 5+ times in theaters on top of that? Fan merch and games have existed way before A24 came into the picture, they have no justification for this and it’s so disappointing. Hopefully her account gets restored and there is an official statement soon. Kane must be stressed out about this too on top of other projects he already most likely started :(

i feel incredibly bad for kane i cant imagine how stressful this whole ordeal is for him, especially since people not in the know of everything are likely to pin the blame on him too.
