The artist worked for 2 years without pay while his family, and himself, lived outside of their home due to renovations. The entire time he was doing commission work because flash was too busy collection superchats and drinking it all away, to pay Dillard a page rate.

Im harshly sarcastic over that no worry. I would assume he did get paid based on the 40% deal. Dillard has been inactive so I would also assume hes busy doing commissions, dealing with the buckler campaign, and working towards book 2 for MGP.
