Kotobukiya has revealed a new 1/7-scale figure that reimagines the classic electronic pet Furby as a fashionable anime-style girl, a classic example of Japan strangeness that fans have come to know and love.
The figure was revealed during Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles and features a stylish girl dressed in clothing inspired by the famous electronic toy:
Kotobukiya also says the back of the figure includes an additional Furby-themed detail, although it was not visible in the initial promotional images.
The company’s BISHOUJO series began in 2009 and transforms characters and properties from games, comics, films, and toys into 1/7-scale anime-style figures. Previous subjects have included My Little Pony, Transformers, and even Sadako from The Ring.
Originally released in the United States in 1998, Furby became a worldwide hit thanks to its sensors, interactive behavior, and distinctive “Furbish” speech. The toy is currently owned by Hasbro and has experienced renewed online popularity in recent years.
Pricing and release timing have not yet been announced.

Look’s like a Tekuho’s style
The WHAT?
Lame!
Clothes don’t come off!
Why just a human girl with a fur coat? Not even the ears to make her a kemomimi?
It doesn’t look bad but you think it’d be at least catgirl adjacent or something.
That’s a Shunya Yamashita design, as usual, I’d recognize it anywhere.
