hey people, hope you're having a good day
just wanna pop in here rq to talk about dming me here. there have been a couple of instances where i get DM requests from random ppl but it's usually one of those moments where theres no context as to why they are asking me (i.e: hey can we talk?, hi can we have a chat? there is a concern, etc)
i wanna make it clear that i do not respond to random DMs that gives me no context at all. please get straight to the point as to why you are asking me xyz. did someone use my art for AI? did you see someone steal my artwork? do you want to know more about my commissions, etc
the reason why i have brought this up is because i have difficulty as to who to trust online, especially from a random person online who messages me, but they gave no reason as to why they are messaging me. i had an incident back in 2022/2023 where one of my accounts i had since childhood got hacked by a scammer posing as an artist, whom i immediately trusted but they were giving

i have an explanation of why i don't go on here very often
in a nutshell: ive grown a little tired of being active on deviantart, and ive been getting burnouts. this doesnt mean im quitting. ill pop in here and there, but for posting stuff i guarantee that it wont come very often
i dont wanna sound like the dramatic person ever, but i felt like i was missing out on the real world. yeah the internet can be an escape from all ur worries, but sometimes too much, especially on dA can be mentally unhealthy. i felt like managing my deviantart has gotten a little whack. i guess going in the real world then is costing like notifications about events that i missed out on. tbh idk if i regret or not.
change is good sometimes, so i kinda have changed how often i go on deviantart n all that. hope yall understand.
