SuperTux<p>Happy pride month. A few days ago someone at work called me "gay." First off I don't think he knew anything about me. Second of all, it was just 1 guy. Like we probably only made out once. Okay it was 4 times. anyway we were both getting a lil into it. I didn't know what the hell i was doing and neither did he. But did not stop us from taking a hard right at saratoga. Anyway he still shouldnt have called me that. BTW You don't have to be gay or whatever to like Supertux, but it probably helps.</p>

Essem :skeeter:<p>dug a bit deeper, seems like whether or not android's connectivity/tethering module will try to start tethering automatically with NCM or RNDIS depends on a config setting inside the ROM; however, there's a special tethering type alongside the ones for wifi/bluetooth/usb/etc. for forcing NCM</p>
Essem :skeeter:<p>this is something i would <em>really</em> like to figure out, as i would prefer to have a wired tethering connection on my macbook on trips</p>
Essem :skeeter:<p>probably worth noting that i can set it into NCM mode using <code>svc usb setFunctions ncm</code>; everything after that requires manual configuration involving sysctls, iptables, manually setting addresses, etc., because unlike RNDIS mode it starts/sets none of the necessary processes/configs</p>
Essem :skeeter:<p>the only problem is that forwarding is broken; i can communicate with local devices, but any handling of external traffic seems to fail</p><p>tcpdump running on the phone reports that it's <em>trying</em> to forward traffic, at least...</p>
Essem :skeeter:<p>as far as i can tell, NCM tethering <em>does</em> work on my oneplus 8 pro; i can set the USB gadget configuration to expose it, and it creates a network interface that (after some manual configuration) can be used to communicate with another device over USB</p>
