I enjoyed the cheekiness of the original chuggalug, but it's nice to have a cleaner audio.

Today is the day I quit. Thank you for making the book easier to read along to.

Cutting down will just lead to a vicious cycle of non-stop rebooting. It's better to starve the metaphorical beast once and for all by implementing all the things from the book.

I got far enough into porn where porn just seemed really gross and I felt awful having ever started watching it. Can't help but wonder how'd I would've turned out if I never got addicted 15 years ago when I was 10. I found this book and it basically cemented my decision to quit.

>it's educational! >so when is your graduation? LMAO

31 days free and I know I'll never use again!

57:32 I've literally had this exact conversation with a friend before. He said porn isn't addictive, and I challenged him to try to quit for a week. He actually took me up on it, but then halfway through the week said "it was too easy" and started using again.

I've read your book and I deeply apriciate your job. Thank you from Russia! You've made one more man free!

this is like my 5th time reading (discovered it years ago), and previously I've stopped at the part where it says you need to be sure you'll never do it again, but now I'm sure to never want to do it again.

I've just finished reading the book in my upthenth time. Something hasn't quite gelled in my mind when I had that last visit. At first, I was disgusted and laughed it off telling my self how stupid porn, that there is absolutely nothing to give up, that there is nothing benecial and that I don't need this. Then the thumbnails of the videos just made it look like a "wow experience" - as if there was value in it. My brain is still in the hook. Although I know everything and almost memorized the book and attempted to get rid of the brainwashing, I know that listening to the audio file is very helpful. The rest is to stick to my commitments.

The best book I stumbled on learning Japanese. It feels good to find freedom and happiness in life again. The method also applies to newly formulated timewaster junk (short form content) and funnily enough the immersion method used to learn languages (consume as much media in target language). It feels good to be free.

I really want to become better, man. I really do. I failed to socialize during my entire 5 years of university because of this addiction. For the last couple months, even doing little fun projects are so damn unappealing compared to what I've suffered all these years. I'm turning 24 next year on May and I don't have any unemployable skills, no friends, nobody to turn to. For the time being I'm sticking with Python and Excel. But honestly having a couple friends to talk to would be great. I know relationships are two way street, and hopefully my little efforts are appreciated

4:25:00 😊 boys I think I'm finally starting to get it. I'm excited to quit. Not going to until the book is done

It was really interesting listening to this knowing that it was originally written as a smoking cessation book. Because everything that was being described was exactly what I personally employed when I quit smoking. It made it very encouraging knowing that I beat an addiction that at the very least is comparable to porn addiction. Anyway, I didn't finish this book but I got about 4 hours in and decided to just pull the trigger. I'm like a week or so in and this feels identical to when I quit smoking. I just know with certainty that I'm never going to do it again. It sucks, because this isn't advice I can give to anybody else. I just had to get to this point in my life. And I don't want to say that to anyone who is struggling because that might encourage complacency. The truth is I had to try many times to quit all of my vices. So I don't recommend complacency, but more than that I don't recommend despair. You can beat this thing.
