Normalize criticising mods and mod developers
The day of using "entitled!" Or "theyre not paid for their time" as shield against criticism has come to an end.
The main issue of this mod is that since it’s release they never tried to make it a Cold War mod. Completely railroaded, no capacity for the player to truly influence other nations or convert them to your ideology, no interest to invest in the space race, etc. Tbh a community crashout on this mod was only a matter of time especially when you look at the total lack of professionalism from the dev team.
If i had a nickel for each time a Dev team committed PR suicide and going from highly respected to hated in days i'd have two nickels, Which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice
The funniest part about this is them trying to take accountability in public (like their announcement on the mods reddit page for example) and now we see apparently they are being chuds about it in private, could just be a select few devs though, idk
Every time I see a screenshot of something like this my default assumption is it's faked, but frequently it's real and I'm reminded people just don't know not to say shit like this in public.
Taking criticism as valid concern and then taking it into consideration to improve the mod:
Go into a huge drama, and potentially ruin the reputation of your mod, because of an egotistical trip:
Whats with these mod creators.
No way is this the Cold War Mod team that took 2 years to update and when you critique they wanna call you a Neo as a false report. That's crazy. Hope that doesn't happen my man.
TNO gave an actual decent update in less of the time compared to CWIC also curious on your opinion on TWR given how long there updates used to take and there change in update philosophy
This dose carry a lot of concern, the Japanese handle is apart of several other mod teams, big ones like tfr. This could carry over and become a wider hoi4 problem because some mf can’t take criticism
