Community note

Wow, you really need to double check your sources. Framework literally can't produce them fast enough. EVERYONE wants one.

That's a complete and utter lie. I would LOVE to purchase a Framework. But sadly they're expensive, don't offer financing and there's no 18" model. I'm hoping for an 18" model to have a thicker chassis to be a competitive gaming laptop. Now that is something I'd buy.

I want my next computer to be a @FrameworkPuter. I just have to wait until next year. Plus, my current computer does what I need for now. Maybe by then they have a 16:9 touch instead of 4:3.

Well obviously, you can only get them in very specific select first-world countries. And even there they're extremely expensive. Availability across different countries is key, but it seems they don't care.

I bought a first-gen Framework 13, then I went back and bought another for my wife. Both were "DIY editions" where I completed the assembly. Neither has needed any upgrades since then, but it's nice to know the option is there.

Well it's the end of XDA for me. Stop calling yourselves developers and go with journalists (derogatory).

I bought mine 2 years ago & love it ! It is absolutely fantastic, top quality build & features. The fact that I can swap any IO port to any other is simple but🤯 feature. The fact that I can upgrade/fix/replace ANY part of the system for a fair price is ... priceless ! Recently replaced my fan/heatsink from a newer updated model allowing my system to run cooler/quieter. FANTASTIC DESIGN TEAM !!!

I'm a proud owner of a framework desktop and a framework 13". It is very good hardware, they have done a great job in their selections and combined into a box with a screwdriver. Everything feels solid and delivered what's promised. Thank you Framework!!!

Switched from a top spec MacBook to a Laptop 13. Couldn’t be happier – recommend it all the time.

Bro what are you on about? Framework laptops are better than my 2 grand Lenovo. They are doing fine - they just are not the size of a massively sized corporation. They are making sure this shit is figured out.

So the comments section isn't going as you planned... Their demand is so good they can't make them fast enough to fulfill all the orders, so people have to wait. I preordered a Laptop 13 Pro months ago. It won't come until September. I also ordered a new mainboard and LPCAMM2 module to upgrade my current Laptop 13. But sure. Let's just pretend that "almost nobody" is buying them. Be real.

The new Thinkpad T14 is about as repairable as the Framework, and like the framework, seems also to be completely sold out.

Dawg they've been continuously sold out, in the middle of a RAM crisis, which is a lot more than any other manufacturer can say right now. You probably shouldn't be doing tech journalism if you don't follow tech

Framework can be sold out and still not have a large market. The factofthematter is that the average person is too retarded to spend more on something that will last and cost them less on the long run. Its the same reason people don't do maintenance on their cars until they break

Um, that can't be right. When I ordered my FW 12 I had to wait months in queue to get mine. And my understanding is that was one of the UNpopular models!
