Use ZenAI in Codex through CC Switch

This document shows the shortest path: create a ZenAI API key, choose Codex in the import dialog, select a model, then confirm the provider in CC Switch.

Before you start

You need these items

Create a dedicated ZenAI API key for coding tools.
Choose Codex when importing to CC Switch.
Use the /v1 endpoint for OpenAI-compatible Codex requests.
Select a model before opening CC Switch.

Codex uses the /v1 endpoint.

Use the full key created in ZenAI. Masked keys cannot be imported.

Pick an available gateway model from the model list.

Steps

Import ZenAI into CC Switch

The screenshots are references only. Follow the text first; open an image if you need to compare the UI.

    Install and open CC Switch

    Download CC Switch from the official site, then open the provider manager for your AI coding workflow.

    Create a ZenAI API key

    In ZenAI, create a key for the Codex group or the group you want to bill. Keep quotas and expiry aligned with your usage policy.

    Click Import on the key row

    After the key is created, use the Import action on the API key row. This opens the CC Switch import builder with the key and endpoint prefilled.

    Pick Codex and select a model

    Choose Codex, keep the service address, select a model from the list, and click Open CC Switch.

    Confirm the provider in CC Switch

    Check application type, provider name, API endpoint, masked key, and model. Then click Import to save the provider.

Verification

Check the import

After importing, make sure the provider is enabled in CC Switch and Codex is using the selected ZenAI model.

If the API key is masked or the model field is empty, create a new ZenAI key and import again.
