If you dismissed DCSoWhite, don't ever let me catch y'all complaining about "your side" not getting shit. This campaign, while Black centered, is also there to point out how y'all get left out, too. This also includes my LGBTQs. I've seen some of y'all being very comfortable with dismissing Black heroes not getting anything so long as y'all get your shit...
Bottom line: If you dismissed us? Prepare for my silence to be deafening when you need my support.

And before anyone tries to say I'm making it transactional, STOP. I ride hard in the paint for everyone. My Latin fam, Asian fam, Indigenous fam, my LGBTQIA+ fam. I didn't do it for cookies. I did it because it was right. Even at times where my audience hated me for it and fuck anyone who felt that way. But this is a new era and shit ain't sweet no more. People who wish me ill or indifference are not my priority.

I've seen how some of y'all talk about DCSoWhite when you think I won't see it. You think you're among those who will keep your racism secret. Or the "begging" you accuse us of when you're OD begging behind closed doors.
So, when Blue Beetle can't get a steady ongoing series. Or you start to notice Asian characters can't get a book unless their name is Batgirl... Or the LGBTQ representation suspiciously dries up after Pride month... The best y'all can hope to get from me is: Wow that's crazy.

i don’t understand how people can’t grasp intersectionality.
like if DC won’t give proper representation to black creators and characters, how do you not see how that will spill over into LGBT, Latino and other groups? The people that don’t care about black people ALSO will not care about any other marginalized group when push comes to shove.
i fight for my black brothers and LGBTQ brothers and ALL my sisters because it’s not only right thing to do, but because we are in the SAME fight

Non-Black people of color need to understand that Black representation anywhere is a positive for everyone. I was a kid when Passenger 57 came out. Seeing a Black man do martial arts in a big action film while very much being Black was inspiring to me. It made me feel like I could see other people be big stars besides JCVD and Schwarzenegger. Even someone with my skin tone.

I know how you feel.
To this day there has yet to be a well-written Indigenous hero that feels genuine and like he came straight from the Rez.
Superhero comics are about, mainly, maintaining a status quo, and Indigenous excellence goes against that.

I'll add that after witnessing the stupid behaviour of DC in regards to its Black audience, I did consider talking about he lack of trans mainstream comics, but i arrived at the realisation it would be more helpful to boost you and other voices with whatever modicum of algorithm push my likes and comments might have, and then in a future time demand more representation for my people, and hope to see my Black cis allies join me. It felt like the right thing to do, at least.
Oh but they real vocal about jk rowling. She sneezes and we all hear it. Black people complaining, they all gone. Disappeared.
I didn’t dismiss it. I posted loud and clear about that hashtag and how DC needs to do better with its Characters of Color on my socials.
All of this. I’m gonna tell you what else I don’t feel like is catching enough smoke at DC. Putting Static on split billing on Batman Beyond/ Static and then spending a bunch of issues writing him like black Robin.

The boycott was a phenomenal idea and needs to happen but the idea of it being INSTANT was always dumb because DC already has the money for the comics we’d be boycotting. Nobody who needed to hurt would be hurting.
Also, you’re asking me to boycott a black non-binary author writing a black female lead, DURING Pride?
Target the boycott to all non-black written/drawn/featuring DC books and we can talk.

Idk maybe it's cause I'm black but yall are way too invest in the lives of these comics book characters. (Most comic book characters are white).
Yes I bought them all lmao black people always support our comics when they come out. It's usually white people who don't.
Again, we can talk about Jamal, Marvel, and DC all at the same time.
Again, Do you think that it is okay that DC currently has zero mainstream series starring Black people?

Issue is most of the ones you listed is milestone not owned by dc. There is a few dc owned black characters
