These white people know something. Growing up, I had plenty of white friends who swore they loved me like a brother but would turn full on white supremacist at the first minor inconvenience. Can't convince me otherwise.

My son was mad at me because I wouldn't let him take an overnight trip with a group of White boys he hung with at school. He called me a bigot. Then them fuckers did some stupid shit and threw him under the bus. This is exactly how I feel being approached by a White man to date. I recently explained that I have the same fear of them like the White women who clutch their purses when Black men come near. I explained that when shit hits the fan, they always embrace their Whiteness. They never want the "problems" of Black people. It's usually such a conditional relationship. I'm so skeptical of them because we are never seen as human, but we were always good enough to fuck over the years.

Yes, this is exactly why although I'm "theoretically open to dating interracially" it has never happened. I have never met one that I felt safe enough with. They always somehow show it's just a side quest for them. They're usually very comfortable in their priviledged and protected status. If I share some "truths" about my life, they don’t want that reality. They literally only want the light and carefree interactions. I don’t have time for that.

I just need y’all to understand that Horn Island is like a Party house. I’m not saying that nothing shady happened. But I do want y’all to understand that part. Kids go out to the islands to party. All the time. And I can guarantee you that there were ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE THERE over a holiday weekend. Some to party, some to fish just offshore, some to do both.

Let me see if I get the judicial system in America right…. The boys will be brought to trial, their families will say it was an accident and they are terrific boys. In the end the judge will explain that he doesn’t want to see these fine boys suffer in the future because those futures are so bright! 3 months probation and eventually it will all be expunged. I live in texas and saw friend groups like that all the time. It’s sad to see how the white guys would pretend to be nice and then be racist and horrible any time they were alone. Not surprising at all and they definitely did something to him.

Nolan Wells deserved to go home to his family. The only reason he didn’t get to is because the people he thought were his friends were actually shitty human beings and either killed him or left him for dead.

This is beyond aweful. I’m sickened for the Wells family, and for our society in general. These boys, and whoever raised them should all go to jail for leaving Nolan Wells on an island, and returning with his phone, and not with their “friend”. And of course it’s the non-white that was left behind. Unfortunately not surprised.
