I agree. don't post clips, spoilers or transcripts from paywalled sites. Especially Ben's stuff. Bro can use the extra few bucks a month from us if we want to watch it early at his Patreon.

Ben has stated that after the video is posted for patreon, it will be made public a day or two after. Whether that means part 4 is being released idk. But the same would go for part 4. I know ben has mentioned his plan is to make part 3 public as part 4 goes to patreon.

I agree. When Episode 1 dropped every creator talked about how this was the single best video they have ever seen on YouTube. Lego creators such as DuckBricks (has the largest Lego collection in existence and won season 3 of Lego Masters) also said that the videos were the best Lego videos he has ever seen.

Bens editing style and storytelling has evolved over time. And the Lego series is seriously top tier next to Mckamey manor & the banksy series. I would also like to mention the flat earth society series was really great. He gets a lot of his inspiration from comedians like Nathan Fielder.

He certainly deserves all the support. Not just for his legal defense. But to be able to continue doing what he loves.

Preface: I agree with you.

But I think this series stopped being about Legos a long time ago. And honestly that it was never really about Legos to begin with. They're great entertainment in a macabre way, and let's face it, the whole world is tired of hearing about corpos screwing over the little guy.

That this became so public is obviously one of the strengths of this type of public journalism, but in my opinion referring to them as "Lego videos" is exactly what BAM has been trying to get people to do, considering how many people I've seen say something along the lines of "they're just Legos."

Again. I agree with you. And I'm aware I'm probably being a little ridiculous.

No, you are right. They aren't lego videos. I only classify them as the lego series to differentiate the series from his other works. At the end of the day, the series really is about corporate greed, collusion and injustices in the justice system. It is wrapped in a little lego backdrop. This is what makes the series so compelling. Because no one would believe that the most beloved Rand could be intertwined in this type of dispute.

I am a massive lego fan. And this is SO NOT what the lego company is about. The company, LEGO has always been incredibly non-controversial. Distancing themselves from others that hurt their brand image. And that is still them. Sure, they've released some terrible sets recently. But that's really the most controverey they've ever had in the community.

As much as I'd usually agree I'm pissed at the bait and switch he did saying the next video was on patron when it wasn't. Like 3-4 weeks past then he was put on content block and my patron expired as I cancelled as I didn't get what I paid for l.

I think a mega thread is really smart, since there will be a flood of posts sharing clips & topics about part 3. It kinda removes the clutter. If I wasnt a patreon supporter I would likely want to avoid spoilers for Eposode 3 before I watch it.

Luckily, I want to say that a vast majority of bens viewers and supporters respect this. It was always outside actors. One thing I really respect about Ben is how trusting he is with everyone. And incredibly loyal. I remember that series of videos he did defending his friend Brandon Buckingham

Its more of a silly movie. It starts off with ben attempting a stunt to get banksy's attention. His idea is that if he does a super viral stunt that goes mainsream that would have to get Banksy's attention. That part of the video lasts for about 10 minutes but then evolves into something else entirely. Eventually he ends up doing a tight rope walk between two skyscrapers, makes national news, does an interview with a reporter in a horse mask and talks about how his stunt was about ' "The balance between life and death" media eats this up, lables him as a daredevil and some kinda philosophical artist.

It is like the youtube member's only videos - if you want to see them - become members. If you don't want to pay - don't watch or expect others to pirate stuff for you.

Members only is a little harder to pirate, because that content is locked completely unless you are a channel member. Ben just de-lists his video on YouTube and shared the link to his patreon. So even non-channel members can watch the video as long as they have the link. This is important because much of Ben's livlihood is made from his patreon subs, his videos are always demonotized on youtube, so he can not count on ad revenue. I'm a huge advocate for supporting a creators work. And ben lost so much sleep editing this video. It would be really unfair for people to claim they support ben, but then go behind his back to share the video with others for free.

No, not at all. I mentioned part 2 because before it was made public. people were sharing the link in this sub to the de-listed video on YouTube. And a couple other channels ripped the video and re-uploaded it online.

        people that support ben and have his patreon will continue to pay. those who want to bypass and see it early will do it anyway and would never pay it anyway. so it doesn't hurt him.

        All you guys have to do is wait a day or two. The video WILL release publically. I completely understand people go through har times where funds are tight. I have been there more than you can know. I certainly understand the desire to want to watch the content with everyone else that had early access. FOMO is real. And I wouldn't be able to avoid spilers. I apoligise. But there is a rule in this sub to respect the creators paywalls. I pirate my fair share of media. Idk anybody who hasn't. And it would be hypocritical of me to say that I haven't seeked the same. This dispute is highly contentious. And emotions are high because of the subject matter that Ben is addressing. But I do feel that here, on the Reckless Ben sub that it is important to respect the creators rights & paywall. Because b3n certainly does deserve the support. If people were just sharing links left and right, there would be no reason to support the dude whatsoever. He deserves to be paid for all of the blood, sweat and tears he has put into his content.
