The Yani Neko anime has been getting a lot of attention for its over-the-top gross out humor and addiction chaos, and the series is getting additional notoriety thanks to its opening sequence, which is full of references to popular movies and series.

Many will compare this to the opening for Chainsaw Man, which was also just a barrage of references from other shows and movies. Critics might wonder whether such openings are trying to profit off of other successful creations, as opposed to trying to stand on its own.
It is just toilet humor with an “unredeemable addict” scenario, just that.

I read the manga, it’s basically all farts and s♥♥t jokes, literally, there’s no more fanservice than your average jump manga but hey surprisedly it’s full of penis and boner jokes, with no female nudity depicted and with male characters being punch bags, and just like the usual there are gay and lesbians characters…
When a western show do 1/3 of this like that “big mouth” cartoon you retards scream “JEWISH” but when japs do that regularly with cartoons even aimed at kids I only hear silence…

Last I checked, the series isn’t celebrating it’s heroine. In fact, it’s regularly taking jabs at her being a mess, which isn’t what western media does.
Also, what content aimed at kids? Worst I can remember is just oppai jokes in a kids anime like digimon but that’s biologically meant for kids to begin with. YaniNeko isn’t aimed aimed at kids.
Yup. I checked it out too after the anime was announced. It sucks. There’s nothing interesting or standout about it. An irredeemable FMC that lives like a gross, smelly chainsmoker lesbian loser with no concept of personal hygiene in a setting with no female nudity, nothing but dicks, poop and pee jokes, random gay messaging, and weak cucked men that are beholden to their existence. That’s it. That’s the entire premise and plot.
It’s not even edgy or pushing boundaries, it’s just pure modern slop. FMC isn’t even a femfailure type of moe, she’s just a disgusting slob that’s entirely unlikable. The fact that something like this has a more than average effort/budget put into the animation than most s♥♥t being made currently is a real sign of the times. Then again, I wonder how much is undisclosed AI-assisted.
It’s the perfect series to appeal to new age anime “fans”, AKA ironic weeaboo westerners who hate everything about Japanese culture, especially the cutesy, clean, virgin girls in most of the stories they made up until this point.
