RKO Radio Pictures was originally founded in 1929 by RCA to promote their Photophone sound system. The initials in the company name stand for "Radio Keith Orpheum", reflecting the joint venture of RCA, the Keith Orpheum theater circuit, and Joseph P. Kennedy's Film Booking Offices of America. RKO was one of the "Big Five" studios of Hollywood's Golden Age, alongside Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., and 20th Century-Fox). Business magnate Howard Hughes would purchase the studio in 1948 before selling it to the General Tire and Rubber Company in 1955; however, the company would be dissolved in 1957. In 1981, the RKO name was revived with the founding of RKO Pictures.

The rights to the majority of the in-house RKO Radio Pictures films are owned by the current RKO Pictures, with distribution rights owned and/or licensed to Warner Bros. via Turner Entertainment Co., while The Walt Disney Company owns the rights to their own productions and films produced by Selznick International Pictures (the latter via ABC Motion Pictures, except Gone with the Wind), the Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. family trust owns the rights to Samuel Goldwyn Productions films, Paramount owns It's a Wonderful Life via Republic Pictures, and Universal Studios owns films produced by Hughes.

On a cloudy background is a radio tower situated on top of a rotating Earth globe. The radio tower is sending out signals illustrated by lightning bolts and sound waves coming from its transmitter. The text "A Radio Picture" (1929 to 1937) or "An RKO Radio Picture" (1937 to 1959) writes itself on the logo in a "thunderbolt" font.

DO NOT ever talk about Find Spot At The Halloween Party, The worst ever children's book released in 2021 during COVID, Spot is dressed as a freaking bat, which caused the COVID-19 pandemic to start in early 2020 which forced us in lockdown, It makes so so frickin angry to the point I really want to jump into the book, insult Modern Spot The Dog just like the same way with Modern SpongeBob SquarePants which we can talk about another time, wipe the smile off his despicable positive face, rip off his costume, tell him to get the freak out of my sight, causing him to cry like a little baby! The old Spot books from when I was a little baby were FAR better than this, and that's a fact!
