so the AI bubble was actually just a way for the government to justify building a billion data centers for the surveillance state?

I need you guys to stop interpretating short term profit seeking gone wrong as some 5 dimensional fed play
The world is just that gay and retarded

Not on this site. This site is populated with double digit IQ retards that'll try and find a grand conspiracy as for how all of it is to enslave you and that the prices will never go back to normal as they feel smart by spewing verbal diarrhea like that.

The Occam's razor is an alien concept to these "people". Obviously it's a market grift, it's always been about the money and this El Dorado will end soon, but they want to live in their fictitious world where they feel like revolutionary fighters by typing dumb shit on the Internet.

mhm but you waited for a more reasonable response time after i pointed it out? also, only bots buy 4chan pass so they can make automated posts
>>
>>109198070
I buy 4chan pass because it's $20/year and the value to not waste my time with capctcha is worth it so go neck yourself faggot
>>
>>109198070
Dude I bought a 4chan pass because I like the website and wanted to support it. I bought it with my bank account. If I wanted to spam 4chan I would have setup an orchestration + residential proxy rotator. But I like 4chan, I hate that we need a captcha in the first place, if I could we could just get rid of the captcha in the first place since it's useless and find some other solution. Stop grasping.

pretty much, for the last 13+ years the NSA had been gobbling up all the data it could from US citizens via shit like PRISM but lacked the ability to effectively analyze all that data, the best they could do was to flag certain keywords and hope relevant info popped up.
but now with LLMs and the absolute glut of computing power being willed into existance over the past few years they can now analyze all that shit in real time, meanwhile all their rich buddies are happy because trillions of dollars of public money is being shifted into their bank accounts every year.
they arent even justifying it either since they know nobody will ever stop them
>>
>>109197823 (OP)
Yeah pretty much, Feds are fucking corrupt degenerates who take bribes and selectively prosecute. Empires last about 250 years - shitty ones? Probably won’t make it to the next decade

Yes. No shit.
And no, it's not just surveillance. They have surveilance of you through your phone right now.
No, it's about manipulation of how people think, act, move. It's a mindcontrol weapon.

And some lunatics think they are building some type of "Deus Ex Machina".

>And some lunatics think they are building some type of "Deus Ex Machina
That's actually a good point. You can't get even close to something like Helios by building six gorillion datamining centers. It simply doesn't work like that (it's like saying brain size can give you the smartest animal; why aren't spermwhales literal galaxy brains then?).

However, the surveillance is what they're absolutely jacking off to. It'll definitely make it easier to profile and maybe even predict actions, but that assumes that they'll be able to get enough centers up and running (and from what's being seen, that's not going to happen, not anytime soon anyways if it even happens).
>>
>>109197965
I bet you're also vaxxed
>>
>>109197823 (OP)
Usung AI for a surveillance state is pretty overkill, they had a good, cheap one going back in the 00s. No, this is using nostalgia for the surveillance state as an excuse to pump trillions of dollars into the economy.

I was more under the impression they were chasing the neuroscientist delusion that human behavior is determinate behavior. I thought they were going to try to prove that humans are just a bunch of wires and thus remove the importance of soul or meaning in law and human constructs. Its like an atheists wet dream. They just need more computers, obviously.

But come to think of it.... when this latest shitshow collapses, I could definitely see the feds snatching that up and doing just that. Because, obviously they know me better than I do and are therefore so good at ruling all tiny decisions that all humans make. Obviously, because they have a badge and boogoo dollars which makes their dicks 3 foot long

people like to subscribe to the delusion that the elites are stupid, but i think they know that this technology will not lead to the creation of a human-like brain. they haven't even been able to simulate the smallest brain on earth. human brains use about 20 watts. meanwhile they are trying to get nuclear reactors up and running to run this stuff. no, i don't think it had anything to do with making super intelligence. it's all for raping the last of your privacy by storing everything you do and always running prediction models on your activity

Governments removing cameras is not where the majority of data is going to come from. It's a helping measure because it can be placed on public land, but they are banking on businesses and private companies filling in the gaps at the corporate level.
