I want to share a moment I experienced today.
Actually, the subtitle was a question I asked myself earlier.

These days, I have an equation with a few unknowns.
And at some point, while I was alone at home, I realized something.

There are times when I think about the same issue anywhere from seconds to days.
Today, I think I finally reached mental exhaustion.

I was thinking, yes.
But deep down, I wasn’t thinking in order to decide.

It felt more like I was forcing my mind until I found the “right” decision.

If someone had been watching me from the outside, they might have said,
“Look at that, how thoughtful, how rational.”

I’m taking responsibility.
I’m not rushing.
I’m analyzing.
I’m thinking.

Maybe even my posture looked admirable while I was “deep in thought.”

But inside, something else was happening.

was overthinking because I was postponing the responsibility of the decision.

Hi Ugur,
That’s such a sharp and honest insight. Overthinking often feels productive, but it’s really just delay dressed up as analysis.
The moment we take responsibility for the decision, the noise quiets. Clarity isn’t found in endless loops, it’s found in choosing.

Well discussed it ❤️🙏👍.

Sometimes what looks like “deep thinking” from the outside is actually just mind running the same loop again and again. Real thinking moves us toward clarity, but mental noise only circles around uncertainty. That awareness alone feels like an important step.
