1st of all - Tennessee has no income tax. 2nd they do have a higher sales tax but that is also paid by tourism. For example from Gatlinburg to Dollywood, most of that sales tax collected is from out of state and out of the country tourists. So ALL THE PEOPLE who spend money in Tennessee are paying not just the residents. I own property there and property tax is fairly low where I’m at.
